None of these people make proud or not proud. They are just celebrities or so called celebrities. I am glad I am American but, lately it is nothing to be proud about

Your list was pitiful. Try again. I'm proud of Denzel Washington, who spent his own money in Texas to provide dwellings for military families. I am ashamed of people like Sean Penn, Susan Saradin, Tim Robbins, Julia Roberts, etc., etc. who do nothing but bad-mouth this country.

least proud : REPUBLICANS!!!

The choices on each list leave little room to escape the sexist view of the question.

You REALLY want people who make you proud to be an American? How about the police, firefighters, doctors, military personnel, thw clergy, yada, yada, yada!

It's funny...blue collar people used to be embarrasing for a nation, but I'm proud of those who keep workin or lookin for work in the face of the state of this country. White collar people I'm ashamed of. The Rich in America are what i'm ashamed of. Celebreties try to be good people because people pay attention to them. CEO's dont. If you look up what the rich people who arn't famous get up to sometimes...its really ugly. They have a culture of "if you can get away with it you should"

I'm ashamed that most americans ignore issues like our spirraling debt, pollution from china and india, Nukes in Iran, Moslem abuse of women, Cathlic abuse of children, and the fact that most CEO's earn 300X what their average employee is paid for "decition making and risk taking(not work), and that it is legal in this country to bribe senators and congressmen to vote for you(or your lobbyist's coorperation) and focus on jesse james cheating...

Why would you have anyone from the entertainment world in the I'm proud to be an American category? Obama makes me least proud to be an American and our soldiers and their families makes me most proud. Obama doesn't have a clue about the sacrifices it takes to be a true American. He runs around with his elite crowd and pretends to care about the working folks. Who knows for sure if he's really an American. Has anyone seen his real Birth Certificate, not his Certificate of Birth. They're not the same thing. America is the greatest Country in the World and evry legal American should be proud of this Country.

ON BEHALF OF THE SLAVES AND IMMIGRANTS THAT BUILT THIS COUNTRY AND BLACKS AND RIGHTEOUS WHITES WHO WERE TREATED AND MADE TO FEEL LESS THAN AMERICAN IN 50'S AND 60'S,I WILL BOLSTER THE PRIDE THEY SHOULD HAVE HAD, BUT WAS DEPRIVED OF BY THE GOOD OL' AMERICA OF THOSE DAYS. I AM PROUD OF THE PRESIDENT AND FIRST LADY FOR THE POSITIVE LIGHT THEY SHINE ON THIS COUNTRY

I'm ashamed that Americans feed their kids perscription pills and cheeseburgers because telling Jr. no is just too hard if he's not medicated and too fat to physicly punch your pansy-american-parent head in....In other country's kids listen...i guess even our children are smart enough to tell who's not worth listening too.

Bullack for sure, she tells it the way it is and she sticks to her beliefs. As far as Tiger Wood goes, you have to give the guy at least an eye brow rise? Not for cheating on his wife was being right or a good thing, but anyone who is ranked number one in the golf world, played in that many Consecutive touraments over the years and still found the time and strength to be able to service that many woman...Now thats an Athlete! He makes the French and the Italians look Impotent and lazy! GO TIGER!!

You must be kidding the public with both of the lists you've posted. All of these people mean absolutely nothing. I doubt very seriously that any of the names you've listed make anyone proud or not. I like Sandra Bullock very much, but unless she can deliver me Osama's head on a stick, her career & personal life have no bearing on what Im proud of, or what I take pride in....in any way...ever.

OK-There is no one on this list that makes me think of patriotism. What a stupid list...I don't even know if Angelina was born in the US.I think her mother was French.

the America I grew up in is lost and will never return - people used to help other people out when times were bad, honor was valued above all else, a man's word was as good as anything written on a paper - all I see is greed and self interest - the ONLY hero's are wearing the uniform of the United States Services
