Jill Zarin Is Not Leaving 'Housewives of New York'

Rest assured 'Housewives' fans, Jill Zarin is not quitting Bravo's 'Real Housewives of New York City' -- despite reports claiming otherwise. On Tuesday evening, Cooper Lawrence, host of the nationally syndicated 'Cooper Lawrence Radio Show,' asked Zarin on air if she was leaving the reality TV show, but apparently her quote was taken out of context. While she admits "there are compelling reasons to come back and not to come back," she isn't on her way out just yet. However, sources tell me that Bravo hasn't yet invited any of the regular cast members back.

Zarin admits last season was difficult on her because the producers focused solely on the drama around her friendship with castmate Bethenny Frankel. Zarin claims over 90 percent of the footage she taped was quite fun, but it all landed on the cutting room floor. None of the 'Housewives' have any control over how the show is edited.

"They research and hold focus groups before deciding who not to ask back. They are looking for characters that push people's buttons. Hate is more powerful than love on TV. It's the cast members that the focus groups don't care about that are likely to get the ax," a source close to the show tells PopEater.

If that's the case, Zarin will likely be invited back for another season because she is definitely not boring. Let's hope she says yes.

Wish Bravo would take Kelly Bensimone off the Housewives. She is obviously doing too much cocaine to be so paranoid, is really not very intelligent or good-looking and is mentally unbalanced. She is NOT entertaining to watch and is more detrimental to the cast than anyone else.

Please take Alex too. She is so boring. At least we didn't have to see her creepy husband Simon much this season. I love Jill and Bethenny and hope they can repair their relationship. And you must keep crazy eyes Romona. She is always good for a laugh.

becca...so true, so true. She is all that you said and more. She is a very sick woman. Sadly it all played out this past season. She is, well, STUPID, for lack of a better word.

Feel sorry for her children. They are going to need intense therapy once they are old enough to get away from her.

The real nut job on that show is Bethany. I wish she would leave, she whines so much and she was the one fighting alot with others in the begining. She is a whacko!!! I can't watch it any more because of her.

Now that jill is back, I will not tune in. Same goes for Danielle. Bravo you should hook-up Jill and Danielle. They are just like each other. Jill is so jealous of Bethenny it is pathetic. She does more apologizing for spilling the beans that anyone I know of. Her spilling the beans is just away to keep her name in the news. The real winners are Ramona, Alex and Bethenny. Bethenny got what she deserved, her own "show"!

The the title "housewives" does it mean you have to be married? It should. Much harder to be married and have children and still be on TV, then one who is not married. Very disappointed in not keeping married women on the show. Single women should find their way off the show and find something else to do.

Of course Jill isn't leaving, she loves the media; but Beca couldn't be more correct. Kelly is a nuisance, crazy and does not add to the show. She's really just crazy

Kelly and Jill will stay because they bring the drama. Crazy sells. I love the way the crazy side (Jill, Kelly and Ramona) interact with the mellow side (Luann and Sonja). Those five are perfect! They all have fun and exciting lives and that is what the viewers want to see.

Alex will be asked to leave. She is so freakin' boring. I don't know why they have her on the show. Who is she? What does she do? She is duller than a butter knife.

Bring all the ladies back 'cept for Bethenny who has her own show and Alex who should have never been cast on the show to begin with.

Yet another "editing" excuse from the evil one. I guess she doesn't realize that her words and actions were hers. Unless she is saying that Bravo altered the snark that came out of her mouth. Also, I doubt it was just 10% of her filming. Reviewing past seasons, Jill has always been Jill. She had Bethenny to cover her.

I strongly disagree that "hate is more powerful than love on TV." Check the blogs. Viewers are tired of watching mean. I and others have stopped watching HW of OC because of Vicki,Tamra and the sanctimonious Alexis. The HW of NJ numbers are way down because of the fighting.

Zarin and Bensimon need to go. If not, it will be one more HW's franchise out the door.

Of course she's not leaving, without the show it's back to the fabric store. Her fight with Bethanny was all about jealousy. She's gone on to have real success. They're all morons anyway. I'd like someone to kick the little creeps rear end, Andy Cohen. What a little trouble maker.

You know its sad that the drama is what sells on tv and these "focus groups" are the ones that want it. I mean seriously, you could have good tv without all the drama.
