Jill Zarin Is Not Leaving 'Housewives of New York'

Rest assured 'Housewives' fans, Jill Zarin is not quitting Bravo's 'Real Housewives of New York City' -- despite reports claiming otherwise. On Tuesday evening, Cooper Lawrence, host of the nationally syndicated 'Cooper Lawrence Radio Show,' asked Zarin on air if she was leaving the reality TV show, but apparently her quote was taken out of context. While she admits "there are compelling reasons to come back and not to come back," she isn't on her way out just yet. However, sources tell me that Bravo hasn't yet invited any of the regular cast members back.

Zarin admits last season was difficult on her because the producers focused solely on the drama around her friendship with castmate Bethenny Frankel. Zarin claims over 90 percent of the footage she taped was quite fun, but it all landed on the cutting room floor. None of the 'Housewives' have any control over how the show is edited.

"They research and hold focus groups before deciding who not to ask back. They are looking for characters that push people's buttons. Hate is more powerful than love on TV. It's the cast members that the focus groups don't care about that are likely to get the ax," a source close to the show tells PopEater.

If that's the case, Zarin will likely be invited back for another season because she is definitely not boring. Let's hope she says yes.

I really liked Jill the first two seasons, but my God, what a change in a person.
She's extremely negative-she belittles people all the time both to their face and behind their backs.
I say get her off the show!!!

Kelly is nuts...she's way out there. She's in Kelly land! And what's with her always touching the bangs? Has anybody else noticed it? If the bangs fall in your face put them behind your ears. I suppose not cool enough. She's definately a piece of work.

I saw the "Lost Footage" episode - and I really enjoyed it more than the season - it was basically "normal" interactions - no crazy DRAMA. Can't stand Alex - Ramona is a whack job.

I love Jill, Bethany has always been about
Bethany. Who has to tell her husband you look heterosexual?
Marriage of convience. Jill was a true friend when Bethany had nothing. Now Bethany has no time for anyone who isn't focused only on her. She and Jill had a true friendship and need to forgive each other.
Alex and Kelly are drama queens but Kelly has real problems and is in need of detox or a padded room. Alex needs to stop the grandstanding. She is so fake.

Bethany is the real nut job. All she does is whine and cry. I can't watch the show any more because of her. In the begining, she was the one who started the fighting and back stabbing. She thought she was better than everyone. I can't stand to look at her ugly face.

Kelly is just so weird. She seems like she's on drugs or just crazy. She never makes sense and she's the one who causes all the problems. Well - Jill is always the big gossip who has to steal the show, but you have to give her credit for trying to make amends. Kelly is boring too. What does she do anyhow? Then she has the balls to criticize Bethenny's career. Alex adds some balance to the show. I like Alex. Kelly and Danielle (from the NJ show) need to have their own show together.

They bring Jill back and they lose me as a viewer. I'm sick and tired of her and the way she is so self-centered. I now DVR the show so that I can speed through her, Kelly and Luann's parts.

First year of watching NY and we like the "Countess" She's neat, Ramona drives us crazy...she thinks she is just so cute. gawd, remember the runway walk...haha. Alex is boring, although we like Simon. Liked Kelly and I hope nothing is seriously wrong with her. As for Jill, I think she's getting dumped on too much and all those apologies, forget about it!! Also, we could do without Sonja, what a phony! Like I said it was our first time seeing this one. As for New Jersey, Bravo either needs to tone down Danielle or get rid of her. We already lost Dina,get her back and do something about Danielle...her and her thugs are ruining this which was the best Housewives!!

I think Bravo should set Kelly and Danielle's little cretin Mini Me Wanna Be Mafioso, Danny, up on a date. It might be interesting to watch and see if they can understand each other -- provided, that is, that Danny and his neanderthal side-kick aren't back in prison by the time the next season starts.

This woman, J. Zarin, has an insatiable appetite for 'celebrity' no matter what cost to her fellow castmates. Does she run BRAVO now? Or is BRAVO still made up of talented, experienced television production people? It appears she's taken over and if indeed that is the case, then BRAVO "we're done!" Get rid of her (and Kelly).

I love Jill because she's "for real" ever with all her faults
I love her husband and daughter her friend Brad is too over the edge but adds to the show.
It is sad that Bravo allows Kelly to stay. This woman is either mentally ill, addicted to drugs or just plain stupid.
Ramona is a pure delight. Her skin care line is excellent. She also sent me a hand autographed photo
I would keep everyone except for Kelly who is a disgrace
