Dean McDermott in Hospital with Collapsed Lung

Dean McDermott is in the intensive care unit of a Los Angeles-area hospital with a punctured and collapsed lung following a motorcycle accident, PEOPLE reports. He was dirt bike riding with two friends on Tuesday when he crashed his bike. He is expected to make a full recovery.

His wife, Tori Spelling, was the first one called to the ER. "His friend called me and said he was in the ER," she said. "He didn't want to scare me, so he just said he had a crash and that they were X-raying him."

"At first I was mad," Spelling said. "I was pissed that he was out biking and crashed. But when I showed up and saw him lying there, and they told me they were admitting him to ICU with a collapsed lung, my heart dropped. My biggest fear had come true."

The couple currently star on the reality show 'Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood' and have a son, Liam, 3, and a daughter, Stella, 2.

Although McDermott vowed earlier this year to give up racing after he fractured his shoulder in a motorcycle accident, he obviously slipped.

Spelling reveals her husband has vowed once again to give up the sport. "When I first saw him, he just softly said 'I'm so sorry,'" Spelling recalled. "I just held his hand and cried. That's when he said, 'I'll never do this again. You and the kids mean everything to me.'"

Its NOT the "riding" that bothers her. It's the WAY her rides. If he had a bike and he just rode it around for "crusing" it would be different. But THIS guy cant ride for one. And two, every time he gets on one and acts stupid he IS risking his childrens future with an injured or DEAD father. His "want to ride" is NOT more important than him being healthy and AROUND for his kids. Its called being a PARENT. You do sacrifice alot of what YOU want for the sake of your kids. Well, the good parents who are raising healthy kids do anyway.
My husband rides. He use to like those little plastic bikes BECAUSE they went fast. But since he has matured he got himself an Iron horse slammer...a crusier. No point in risking injury or death for a thrill as stupid as that. And you get ALOT less tickets. So its really a win win. lol

Sorry can't cry for you, your such a loser in the first place. Any guy who can walk into a room where his 1st wife was standing and say "Sorry, but I am leaving you, I love someone else" and then walk out, well, that says it all. And you always crash on motorcycle, your such a priss. You started out on the race track and fell off/crashed within 2 sec. Now you can't even dirt bike ride without crashing? I use to ride dirt bikes on trails and never crashed, and Iam a girl. You don't hold a job, you get engaged to Tori 3 weeks after meeting her and you both say 'He/She is my soul mate????? What losers. Maybe you should just stick to riding a simple bike, with a helmet.

Dean I just want to say that someone upstairs is looking after you, and I hope that your listening to his words and his action. He is showing you what you have, a wonderful wife and two precious little ones who need the dad. Life is short as it is, so make every moment count with you family. Don't go out for the 3rd time, it just might be your last. I lost a son in a motorcycle accident in 1987. He was only 19 yrs. old. He thought he could do things on a dirt bike and found out he couldn't. He saved his best-friend life and took the fall for himself. He gone now forever. Get your act together and be a man, husband, and father. Stop trying to be a younger guy who doesn't have the faintest ideal of what the hell he's doing. Stop thinking and start acting. You had 2 warnings, the next one may not be so lucky. God is not ready for you yet. Tori is a lovely woman and she is a good wife and mother. You must have seen something in her to marry her. I can't believe it's was only money and fame that you just wanted. Grow up Dean.
