Dean McDermott in Hospital with Collapsed Lung

Dean McDermott is in the intensive care unit of a Los Angeles-area hospital with a punctured and collapsed lung following a motorcycle accident, PEOPLE reports. He was dirt bike riding with two friends on Tuesday when he crashed his bike. He is expected to make a full recovery.

His wife, Tori Spelling, was the first one called to the ER. "His friend called me and said he was in the ER," she said. "He didn't want to scare me, so he just said he had a crash and that they were X-raying him."

"At first I was mad," Spelling said. "I was pissed that he was out biking and crashed. But when I showed up and saw him lying there, and they told me they were admitting him to ICU with a collapsed lung, my heart dropped. My biggest fear had come true."

The couple currently star on the reality show 'Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood' and have a son, Liam, 3, and a daughter, Stella, 2.

Although McDermott vowed earlier this year to give up racing after he fractured his shoulder in a motorcycle accident, he obviously slipped.

Spelling reveals her husband has vowed once again to give up the sport. "When I first saw him, he just softly said 'I'm so sorry,'" Spelling recalled. "I just held his hand and cried. That's when he said, 'I'll never do this again. You and the kids mean everything to me.'"

I also watch Toris and Deans show 'n love it. It is a sweet show. Dean: as a grandmom please listen to me as well as Tori and stop pushing your luck. You've had now two accidents, this last one serious one. Find another hubby that is not so dangereous to your health. Tory and kids need you around for a long, long time. Wishing you good luck for your career.
