'Harry Potter' Actress's Father and Brother Arrested for Threatening to Kill Her

Afshan Azad's father and brother threatened to kill the 23-year-old actress, E!Online reports. Azad, who plays Padma Patil in the 'Harry Potter' movies, was allegedly attacked on May 21.

Her father, Abdul Azad, and brother, Ashraf Azad, have both been charged with threatening to kill her during a fight in her Manchester home in May. Her brother, Ashraf, 28, has also been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm. Details about the alleged attack are sparse.

Abdul, 54, and Ashraf were in court earlier this week to face the charges brought against them and were subsequently released on bail. Court will reconvene on July 12 while committal proceedings occur to move the case to Manchester Crown Court.

The next 'Harry Potter' film starring the actress, 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1', opens in theaters November 19. Azad's role as Padma Patil is her first professional role.

A Muslim Father and Brother beating the hell out of their daughter and sister and threatening her life because she "embarressed" them. This isn't rare people! It's institutional...part of their culture. Wake the heck up already!!!

First off, the way she looks, she is either Muslim or Hindu. One Reason is that Padma is Muslim in the Stories. Not a Racial Profile, I'm just super observant.

Secondly, According to CNN as someone stated above, she is Muslims. Muslims cannot marry anyone who is not Muslim. I know this for a fact as I have a Muslim Friend who cannot date someone because they are Agnostic and Not even a part of the Arabic Race. They, must have their Father's Permission.

One proof of this is seen in the Movie Bend it like Beckham.

Honor Killings happen all over the place because in many places Muslims practice Sharia Law which states that if a Woman is caught in a relationship with a man that is not Muslim and Dishonors he father she must be killed. Muslim women get stoned all the time in the Streets of the Muslim world in the Middle East because of this and even because of Adultery. It's clear this is why. No one even took note about the person's slur against people who live in trailer parks. So, you are saying that all people that are poor and can't afford regular homes are absusive and are white trash. I don't live in one but have knowns lots of very nice decent people who live or have lived in trailer parks and/or mobile homes. It's also interesting that the other person used the term "white trash" So, only the white people who live there are bad but all the blacks, mexicans, and any other race that live there are great people. Of course they're Muslims. These are the only religious fanatics whose religion tells them that it is okay to threaten or murder your own family, especially the women for not cowing to their dominance. Therefore, they think they are doing no wrong when they threaten her. Muslim women, according to their macho bible, cannot possess anything. Money, clothes, shampoo, land, animals, nothing. They're not even allowed to learn to read, so the men can control them easier! They are nothing more than baby ovens to them. And if the baby is not male, it is alright to eliminate the girl child as long as it's done religiously. We should cut off all doings with these people. Even the "supposed" liberal believers of this credo are lying to our faces when they say we are interpreting their bible so poorly. Grab one of their bibles out of their oh so holy hands and it says the same, damned thing... ANYONE who does not believe as we do are infidels and all infidels are our enemy and must be killed right down to the last man, woman and child, without mercy. Not one of their bibles say anything different. It's right there in black and white. Believe it. The liberals just choose to ignore that part, but it's still in there. Until such a time as these neanderthals realize that slavery just doesn't belong in modern civilization, we should avoid them at all cost. We should close their borders and lock them in so their subjugation of women won't spread to the rest of the world. Screw their oil! Lets see how their oil serves them when they run out of food! Or see how long they last when they keep killing their baby girls. Anyone who believes in that religion is a throwback and should be treated the same way their holy book says to treat their women, with impunity and indifference to their pain and suffering.
