Kelsey Grammer's 3rd Wife, Camille, Files for Divorce

Kelsey Grammer's third wife is pulling the plug on their 13-year marriage, just in time for her to be on a show about housewives. Camille Donatacci Grammer's lawyer filed a divorce petition on Thursday, citing that old chestnut "irreconcilable differences," TMZ is reporting.

Donatacci, a 41-year-old former Playboy model and dancer, is seeking joint legal and physical custody of their their children, 9-year-old daughter Mason and a 6-year-old son Jude. She married the 'Frasier' actor in 1997, a year after they met at a party thrown by MTV.

Clocking in at 13 years, this has been Grammer's longest marriage to date. Curiously, all of his wives have been dancers of one stripe or another. He was first married to dancer Doreen Alderman (8 years), followed by exotic dancer Leigh-Anne Csuhany (1 year).

It was recently reported that Donatacci has been added to the cast of Bravo's 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.' A source tells the NY Daily News the couple allegedly were divided about her intention to star in the reality TV show. "He's a control freak, so he didn't like her joining the show. But this is still a surprise," the source says.

TMZ reports the marriage started to crumble when the actor moved to New York earlier this year to star in 'La Cage Aux Folles' on Broadway. The breaking point occurred on Father's Day when he allegedly didn't fly home or call his kids. "She doesn't know what Kelsey is doing in New York, but he's made it pretty clear he wants nothing to do with marriage anymore," the source reveals to TMZ. "Kelsey loved New York, his friends and his freedom more than his marriage."

Donatacci stood by her husband through several ups and downs during their marriage including a September 1996 incident when he flipped his Dodge Viper while intoxicated and subsequently checked in to the Betty Ford Center for 30 days.

Then, Grammer suffered a heart attack on May 31, 2008 later revealing he had to wait one and a half hours for paramedics to arrive. He was hospitalized in Hawaii after he had symptoms while paddle-boating with his wife. He was released on June 4, 2008, and was listed as "resting comfortably." He later told Entertainment Tonight that the heart attack was very severe, almost leading to his death, as his heart had stopped. By June 28, 2008, Grammer checked into an undisclosed New York hospital after complaints of feeling faint.

He blamed his health problems on Fox's decision to cancel his TV sitcom 'Back to You.' "It was a very stressful time for me, and a surprise to me [that it was canceled]," Grammer told PEOPLE in 2008. "But you know, everything that doesn't kill us – which it almost did – makes us stronger."

On Thursday afternoon, Grammer reached out to his fans on Twitter to further discuss and confirm the divorce. "Had some bad news to deal with today," Grammer said in a string of Twitter postings late Thursday. "Things fell apart between us. That is all," he said. "Camille did not want this but has made a very difficult decision and I respect her for it."

"I realize that it is human nature but I ask that you be particularly sensitive to the feelings of my wife. She has been a terrific partner for many years and should not be treated with any disrespect at this time," he continued.

I just don't think it helps to be o judgemental. Actually 13 years and 2 kids, a stint in re-hab, heart attack, I mean that's alot for just money. Maybe they actually loved eachothe and grew apart. Doesn't ti happen all the time?

And when marraige gets rough and eac partner wants to live on opposite coasts, that makes it pretty hard. I don't have a clue since I have never met either and tabloids are a joke. But I love Kelsey's acting and I adore people who are artists and a little quirky. It makes them more interesting!

I am shocked at their sudden split. Shocked that it lasted 13 yrs. She would have been gone sooner but she has morals and couldnt walk out when Kelsey was re-habbing, that would look bad lol.

Frankly, it never occurred to me to have negative feelings about Kelsey Grammer's wife! Any negative feelings and questions about behaviors would, naturally, be with regard to HIM, given this IS the third divorce! But as much as I'm sure SHE is suffering, the bottom line is that she'll be better off without him ... although I hope to God she gets a WHALE OF A LOT of HIS MONEY for herself and for the children! And, once again, one has to feel sorry for the children. They can't help it if their father is a selfish, ungrateful, egocentric, narcissictic FOOL ... with all due respect!

I don't blame him for calling it quits because she wants to join in more of the humiliating nonsense that pervades the airways. He should leave her and take the kids with him. (Who wants to have a parent that is so willing to degrade themselves on national television?)

Lita,you say this while HE flies off to NYC to play in a show about homosexuals and hang around partying with his old homosexual Broadway pals,leaving her and the children alone on the other side of the country?

Meanwhile,there has not been a single whisper of scandal about her the whole 13 years they have been married,and he has been in and out of rehab and the hospital.

Do you people actually read these articles before you "rush to judgement". Didn't the article say he was in NY and never even called his kids on Fathers day, and that he made it clear he wanted nothing to do with marriage anymore? How does that make her a "bimbo"? "money hungary" etc \. etc.

i am with Camille..Kesley Grammer is the biggest pain in the
as* diva drama queen in the world with his 25 fake heart attacks.
Hes still a drunk I dont care how many times hes been to rehab.
Camille should get a star on the walk of fame for putting up his BS for 13 years..I also hope she gets all the "Cheers" and "Frazier" money and maybe any money from his latest two shows that tanked horribly. Sorry being Frazier is other shows does not work, maybe try actually acting like someone else.
I hope Camilles new show rocks and I hope she trashes he toad ex husband any chance she gets.

At 65 I have learned a valuable lesson, there is only one thing important in a spouse and that is character. Too many people find out too late that your "type" may not be the best person for a long term relationship, yet they keep going back to the same thing. By the way, if your type is an ex Playboy bunny then you deserve what you get.
