Britney Spears Would Rather Lock Her Sons Up Than Let Them Be Famous

Britney Spears knows the highs and lows that come with being a worldwide superstar better than just about anyone else on the planet. Maybe that's why she admits in Cosmopolitan magazine that she'd never let her sons have careers in Hollywood. In a rare and candid interview, Spears tells Cosmopolitan, "If my sons [Sean and Jayden] told me they wanted to be in the entertainment business, I'd lock them in their rooms until they turned 30."

What she's most dreading: "I'm dreading the moment when my sons ask me how babies are made."

On loving her life as a mother: "Things are pretty quiet right now. I've been spending a lot of time at home with my boys. They just started karate class, which is super cute!"

The TV show she'd most love to make a cameo on: "'Gossip Girl.'"

Sorry Britney, but your boys will grow up and do what they want to do. You can't choose what's in their best interest just because of your own mistakes. You can't "know" everything about the celebrity world just because of your bad choices when you became a part of it. If anything, if they choose to be in the Hollywood limelight, you should use what you've learned and seen and do know from your own personal experiences to guide them and help them. Telling them they can't will make them want it more and you'll once again be on front of the tabloids with the headline of "My Mother tried to ruin my life: Sean and Jayden's story."

Good for Britney! I'm glad to hear that things are leveling out for her. So long as she keeps her head on straight, her nose clean and her priorities in perspective, her boys will turn out just fine, wherever they end up.
