Dina Lohan watched in disbelief as her daughter Lindsay was sentenced Tuesday to 90 days in jail for violating terms of probation over a three-year-old drug case."This is so not fair to do this to my child," a flabbergasted Dina Lohan told PopEater exclusively shortly after Judge Marsha Revel made the announcement.
The 'Mean Girls' actress must begin serving her sentence on July 20, however she likely won't serve the entire 90 days. Many female inmates in Lohan's situation only serve about 25% of their sentence, meaning that the star will only spend about 23 days behind bars. Immediately after leaving jail, Lohan will spend another 90 days at an in-patient rehab facility.

Lindsay certainly doesn't have role models in her parents. Still, she is 24 years old and should know right from wrong. Also, heard that the jails are crowded and a Sheriff said that she will only serve 25 days in jail. Nice! She is on the road to self destruction, she will probably shorten 90 day rehab, also.

She ignore the all the warnings and kept on going to parties. She is just like Paris Hilton. They think they are entitled to break the law and get away it. 90 days in jail will not kill her. It might help her with her problems.

Not fair to her child. HA HA HA. It wouldn't have been fair for her not to go to jail.

Gee her mom was shocked???? Please, you have allowed this to happen and she is so used to getting out of trouble that she was devastated when they actually sentenced her to do active jail time. If it had been a regular person, then they would have already thrown the book at us. So, no I don't feel sorry for her, nor do I feel sorry for her family!!!!!!!!! They brought it on themselves. They keep talking about not making her a statistic but what about the people she could have made a statistic with her drinking and driving? Or do they not care?

I agree it's about time. Had if been any one of regular people we wouldn't have had as many chances as this girl. Star or not, no one, even the folks in Hollywood are above the law. And Mom, sorry to say but your daughter didn't listen and now deserves what she gets....and by the way the parents of people on death row also didn't think it was fair that their kids are locked up..dael with it
Lindsay, Lindsay, Lindsay,
Do you know what the definition of insanity is?
Answer: It is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.
Good for the judge...I am sick and tired of the LA women and men paying their way out of the simple fact that they have an addiction to drugs and/or alcohol and as a result make poor choices.
Mom needs to step aside and let her daughter pay her adult way.
Do not continue to enable your daughter.

Lindsay needs to get her hands on an advance copy of the auto biography of Warhol/Bowie star Cherry Vanilla; "Lick Me" is released in Nov. and Lindsay would be the perfect Cherry Vanilla in a film version

This girl thinks that being a celebrity gives her another set of legal rules. She needs to go to jail just like every other person does when they break the law.

If we learned anything today is that Lindsay is a TERRIBLE actress! Her "apology" was very forced and insincere. Kudos to the judge for seeing through it and holding her accountable....the punishment might save her life! Hopefully, she will grow from this experience and distance herself from her crappy excuses for parents!

My father DIED of alcoholism in 2008. Nothing worked with this guy. He had exhausted every program.. Nothing took. He was sober for several months at a men's halfway house and decided himself to drink again. He was on probation for drunk driving.. couldn't or wouldn't sometimes make it to his meetings that the court demanded. We HOPED they would finally sentence him to some real jail time. If not to just keep him sober for month or so. Most hospitals ( due to health insurance ) will NOT keep a patient in inpatient rehab treatment.. for longer than a week or two. Its not enough time.
Lindsey is getting EVERY chance here. This judge is trying to save her life. 90 days inpatient rehab?? I WISH we could have gotten this for my father.. but then again.. you have to want to be sober.
My father went on a bender, fell in the house, and died of his head injuries. He was found by a friend 24 hours later, which meant I NEVER got to even view my own fathers body.
Lindsey is getting a big chance here.. and I hope it sicks for her. Bravo to the judge.

So sorry for your loss. That's a terrible way to lose a parent. I hope you can live and learn to forgive his weakness.
The law is the same for the rich and famous and the working guy or gal. She repeatedly flaunted her lifestyle and flouted her disregard for the chance the judge gave her. Perhaps her stint in jail and following rehab will be will be a wake up call for her.
I hope so. It is about time this happened - she needed to see that she is not above the law. The Judge did the right thing.
The judge did the only thing!
I hope this will straighten her thinking out. No one wanted this for her - but tough love is somethimes what it takes.
And yes momma - it is fair!

I guess Dina upset that she wont be named mother of the year again like she was in may 2008. I think the mother also should of been given jail time for raising such a train wreck for a daughter but thank god the public roads will be safe as long as shes in jail. i have no sypmpathy for this self absorded twit.
THIS WAS TRUE
