Dina Lohan watched in disbelief as her daughter Lindsay was sentenced Tuesday to 90 days in jail for violating terms of probation over a three-year-old drug case."This is so not fair to do this to my child," a flabbergasted Dina Lohan told PopEater exclusively shortly after Judge Marsha Revel made the announcement.
The 'Mean Girls' actress must begin serving her sentence on July 20, however she likely won't serve the entire 90 days. Many female inmates in Lohan's situation only serve about 25% of their sentence, meaning that the star will only spend about 23 days behind bars. Immediately after leaving jail, Lohan will spend another 90 days at an in-patient rehab facility.

She should use the jail time to THINK about what would have happened if she had KILLED someone while she was out driving around, having a good time HAMMERED. ZERO sympathy for any of them. WASTE of space.

She looks horrible and much older than her 24 years.. It's just heart breaking what drugs and alcohol can do to the human body ..If this girl had been raised by decent parents maybe the results would have been different. Who knows .It is really sad to see a person this young having so much trouble in life .I hope a miracle happens and she can turn her life around .But first as in all of these cases she has to admit she has a problem and stop making excuses .

Dina quit hanging on Lindsay's coattails. You will never be famous! Don't you think that maybe instead of partying with her you should've done what a REAL PARENT does ? You know, show their kid that what they're doing is wrong? She was, if anything, an okay actress. Now she's on her way to being a has been. I seriously doubt any studio will want to shell out the money it'll take to insure her. Hope you enjoyed what little fame you had.

This is ridiculous our judicial system is a mockery, and if you are a celebrity the rules don't apply. Sorry, I feel bad for the girl, but she knew the rules and chose to ignore them. What is it going to take? for her to run some innocent person over with a vehicle while in some alcoholic or pill popin stupor. Or maybe she will overdose and then everyone can say how tragic. The real tragedy is our political judicial system, it needs a serious overhaul.

Mom, you are doing your daughter harm by enabling her. She needs to be in jail followed by rehab in order to get her life in order. Look at her...she looks much older than her years...and hard partying and alcohol are destroying her...I speak from experience...my 24 year old son was in the same situation...we threw him in rehab against his will and supported him emotionally until he decided he needed to be there...then AA took over from there...
Good luck...he is now 38...and is sober and living a good life...she can too, but you must allow her to get the treatment she needs...and quit making excuses for her.

It's easy to judge a person's actions when you're not sitting in their seat. I get on here and I pray for people/actors that are struggling and really need help. A person who is struggling with addictions often need a time of drying out/clean time, and serious counseling...ie...working on themselves before they can work on the other areas of their lives. There's alot of changes in store for Lindsay. My hope for her is a healthy life..one she hasn't had for some time now. My prayers go up for her and her family. They truly need them.

You know she has had soooo many chances and she just blew them all. She has disregard for authority and the law. She deserves to go to jail maybe she can sit long enough and ponder what she has done to her life. No one wants to hire her because she is a liability. At one time she was a good funny actress but now whatever she's made goes straight to dvd. Her crying and her parents they have no control over her. She did what she wanted to do. I don't buy "oh, I didn't know I was supposed to do that". Any normal citizen would have been in jail the first if not second time. She got special treatment and blew it, so put on your big girl panties and serve your time like any normal person. That's what's wrong with society, people with money can buy whatever and most do whatever. I don't feel sorry for her or her family. Bet she doesn't serve 90 days just like the rest of them didn't.

Both Dina Lohan and Lindsey need to be slapped upside their heads, three times at minimum. I don't see how someone can feel sorry for Lindsey Lohan, and not sorry for those who get bigger sentences for the same thing.

Give me a break MOM....Lindsay has already had more breaks than the average citizen and it hasn't worked.....at some point in her life, she has to start being responsible for her behavior........if Robert Downey Jr pulled himself together, so can Lindsay. In case you didn't know, life isn't fair......and that is just the way it is.

well , I see a lot of black parnets do the same thing , the cops could have caught the son ( or daughter) with the smokin gun in their hand and the parent will protest it , saying something to the likes of " I kno'd he (she) dint do it , he(she) told me so " and there ya have it !!
