Who 'Blew It' During Jake and Vienna's Battle Royale?

Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi slung insult after brutal insult last night during their first televised chitchat together since their relationship went kaboom. (He said: "I'm disgusted with you." She said: "You are a fame whore.") Although it may have made for great reality TV, industry insiders tell me their performance has killed both of their aspiring careers.

"There were no winners last night," a TV executive tells me. "We got to see a different side of two people we thought we knew very well. And it wasn't an attractive side. In short, that interview was a disaster. It certainly didn't do Jake or Vienna any good."

Pressed for a pick, my source conceded that if there had to be a winner, it was Vienna -- but mostly because Jake came off as a bit nasty.

"The Jake we saw last night was so different from the nice guy we thought we knew. He has left us all wondering if everything he ever did was an act. His career is over for sure."

Vienna, who has already secured a job at a marketing company in Los Angeles, says she has no plans to pursue a career in show business.

However, Jake has never hidden his ambitions to become a full-time actor. According to IMDB, Pavelka worked as an actor long before his 'Bachelor' fame, with a 1999 spot on the cult/hoaky series 'Walker, Texas Ranger' and a role in the TV flick 'The President's Men.' For both roles, Pavelka is credited as Jake Landrum. Post-'Bachelor' fame, Jake has landed a guest spot on the Lifetime series 'Drop Dead Diva,' where he will play a bachelor contestant on a dating show.

But that was before we got to see how nasty he really is.

"Jake is a joke in the business and last night's performance has confirmed it," a casting director tells me. "He thinks he's going to be the next Tom Cruise, where in reality he is already the next Spencer Pratt." Ouch.

The director continues: "My advice is save as much 'Bachelor' money as you can, then go home to Texas and enjoy your life. Any chance that he might have had of a career in show business is over. He blew it last night. Making a girl cry on national TV isn't going to get you any work in this town."

PR expert Kelly Brady agreed, telling me, "In one corner you had Jake and in the other you had Vienna. Neither scored a knockout, but both were badly injured. But Jake definitely came off worse."

Miss Brady is not alone in her expert thinking.

Ronn Torossian, owner of 5WPR and the man who shaped the careers of Lil' Kim and Pam Anderson, tells me, "I think neither won the battle-royale at all, but in today's reality driven entertainment show arena, ratings and drama will win, rather than Vienna or Jake. They both spoke ugly of another, both were rude and inconsiderate and I don't think either of them won big points."

Ronn makes a great point. There was a big winner last night and that was ABC. Ratings were through the roof.

she is an immature and emotional wreck. Maybe she should answer when it is her turn. too bad jake raised his voice. too, he could have just taken the high road, but that wouldn't be reality tv.

She is and always will be a spoiled bratt. Her daddy called her his little princess at the home town eeting and said jake needed to treat her like one. that is the problem those tears were all fake just to try and win simpathy, and make Jake look bad. I feel it back fired.Jake there are other fish in the sea.

Uhhh hello Jojo? Vienna did leave. She broke up and left him while he was out of town. And she broke up with him two other times but he kept swearing he'd get help but you can't help someone that acts like the guy next door when in fact he's the abusive psychopath next door. He just doesn't get it! I just couldn't believe what a condescending, smug, jerk he is.
Vienna kept interrupting because Jake was lying his a-- off! What is wrong with you people? Vienna is lucky she got out while she could because i guarantee we will hear someday about him being violent with someone he's dating. He tries so hard to portray this great guy next door but when someone doesn't do exactly what he wants and he can't control everything he loses it and explodes!! It'd almost be better if he yelled more because he's gonna snap someday soon trying to keep those emotions in. He has to control everything and needs a stepford wife to do exactly what he wants and OBEY of course and not EVER second guess him.
Jake confirmed every single incident that Vienna was talking about!!!!! Well, not at first! And when he was gonna answer he kept taking these big pauses so that he could think of the right thing to say. The only time he was real and didn't edit himself were the two times he yelled at Vienna. If Jake can act like that while people are all around filming, how do you think he is at home when there's noone around? I can say that I am soooo happy he did this interview because it finally showed his true colors and the sociopathic controlling jerk that he is. His career is over now thank god!!!

That was Ally, the girl who is now the bachlorette. Vienna and Jake are both wrong for each other but in my opinion, Jake is the worst, hope he realizes he's done.

I don't care if he never got a word out, there is NO reason for a grown man to act like such a jack a**. What kind of a** hole is immasculated because a girl asks a GPS for directions? Then has to be a pouty little baby and throw it? Excuse me but that is not acceptable... I agree that they both need to get over the whole thing and chalk it up as a learning experence. But, honestly, you can not tell me that what he did was excusable. Would you want a man talking to your daughter like that, even if she did interrupt him and she was in the wrong? I sure as hell wouldn't. Ladies, would you seriously put up with a man talking to you like that? And guys, there is no way you would sit back and let some other guy talk to you like you aren't worth sh** just because you interrupted him.

She came across like an immature, self centered brat because that is what she is. She needs to grow up and realize that just because she was Daddy's little princess she isn't anyone else's. Do I believe that she was screwing around, absolutely. Do I believe that Jake treated her poorly, absolutely. It takes two to tango. They both set out to make a name for themselves on the show and that is exactly what they did. They both made a lot of money off of it and I am sure they are hoping for more. As for Jake having an acting career. Just because these publicists say he won't, I don't believe it. Hollywood thrives on the bad boy images and people will be after him. Look at all the jerks they have on "TYhe Jersey Shore" and everything they have done and they are back again, they are getting personal appearances, etc. The same will happen with Jake and Vienna.

Vienna just made herself look worse last night. She is a spoiled brat and rude. Jake didn't have a chance with her. He could not get in more than a few words without Vienna interrupting. The Bachelor/Bachelorette series has gotten to be just too dramatic.

I don't watch "The Bachelor" or "The Bachelorette" for the simple reason that I think it is tacky. Ok...granted, it "worked" the first few seasons but obviously, not since. I did not think Jake deserved a show, however, I could see through Vienna and her blond dye from the start! She was too young for him and she was coniving. I only saw bits and pieces but definately though Ali's dye was better. Jake could have selected her. Although Jake was rude, I could see he was angry and hurt on some levels. Vienna was obviously hurt, however, SHE DID REPEATEDLY INTERUPT HIM OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER. It got on my nerves and I wanted to tell her to "Shut up already!" There in lies the immaturity. None of these reality "love" shows has produced a truly credible couple without fame. Very sad.

actually dear it only worked once and I think that was a flukebut the blond and her fireman husband are happy the rest are in it for the exposure, travel, and to see if they can win period. Those that go on these shows are merely show offs that can't fake it till they make it in reality

Actually, the couple from what I believe was the first Bachelorette show have had a happy ending. Remember Trista and her hunky firefighter, Ryan? They married, and I think have at least two kids now.

They both are losers! Viena is so fake and Jake is beginning to creep me out. HIs publicist? Really, he needs a publicist... Viena as a spokesperson for a hair suppliment? Again, really? If this hair suppliment is for a good cause, which is what I have heard, then why not find a real spokesperson that the public looks up to? At this point neither are celebrities and as mw suggested, they should return to thier homes.

haha...i found that so funny! A spokeman for a hair supplement...during the show everyone noticed her hair looked like a dried out horse..not to mention she did too..but...anyway...The best part of the show last nite was listening to how she wanted to go home back to Florida and didn't want to stay in LA...but then we find...she can't go back to Florida, everyone "turned thier back on her" whatever that meant..and low and behold..the twit got a job in LA..imagine that!!! As far as Jake is concerned..he was warned....

I didn't watch the Bachelor and only know of them from the ridiculous amout of times they have been on other mags, shows, interviews, etc. I did however catch about 1/2 of last nights interview and I have to say that they both looked bad but Vienna looked like a whiny, FAKE, B-otch! Let the guy speak for pete's sake....I'm sure he'll make himself look stupid enough without you constantly interupting him!
As for running off crying that he is just so mean to her...GROW UP already! I didn't see anything that was really THAT mean and you dished more than your fair share back his way.

I'm hoping that this is the last we'll see of either of them.
