Who 'Blew It' During Jake and Vienna's Battle Royale?

Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi slung insult after brutal insult last night during their first televised chitchat together since their relationship went kaboom. (He said: "I'm disgusted with you." She said: "You are a fame whore.") Although it may have made for great reality TV, industry insiders tell me their performance has killed both of their aspiring careers.

"There were no winners last night," a TV executive tells me. "We got to see a different side of two people we thought we knew very well. And it wasn't an attractive side. In short, that interview was a disaster. It certainly didn't do Jake or Vienna any good."

Pressed for a pick, my source conceded that if there had to be a winner, it was Vienna -- but mostly because Jake came off as a bit nasty.

"The Jake we saw last night was so different from the nice guy we thought we knew. He has left us all wondering if everything he ever did was an act. His career is over for sure."

Vienna, who has already secured a job at a marketing company in Los Angeles, says she has no plans to pursue a career in show business.

However, Jake has never hidden his ambitions to become a full-time actor. According to IMDB, Pavelka worked as an actor long before his 'Bachelor' fame, with a 1999 spot on the cult/hoaky series 'Walker, Texas Ranger' and a role in the TV flick 'The President's Men.' For both roles, Pavelka is credited as Jake Landrum. Post-'Bachelor' fame, Jake has landed a guest spot on the Lifetime series 'Drop Dead Diva,' where he will play a bachelor contestant on a dating show.

But that was before we got to see how nasty he really is.

"Jake is a joke in the business and last night's performance has confirmed it," a casting director tells me. "He thinks he's going to be the next Tom Cruise, where in reality he is already the next Spencer Pratt." Ouch.

The director continues: "My advice is save as much 'Bachelor' money as you can, then go home to Texas and enjoy your life. Any chance that he might have had of a career in show business is over. He blew it last night. Making a girl cry on national TV isn't going to get you any work in this town."

PR expert Kelly Brady agreed, telling me, "In one corner you had Jake and in the other you had Vienna. Neither scored a knockout, but both were badly injured. But Jake definitely came off worse."

Miss Brady is not alone in her expert thinking.

Ronn Torossian, owner of 5WPR and the man who shaped the careers of Lil' Kim and Pam Anderson, tells me, "I think neither won the battle-royale at all, but in today's reality driven entertainment show arena, ratings and drama will win, rather than Vienna or Jake. They both spoke ugly of another, both were rude and inconsiderate and I don't think either of them won big points."

Ronn makes a great point. There was a big winner last night and that was ABC. Ratings were through the roof.

THEY BOTH CAME OUT BAD. JAKE AS WE ALL KNOW LOVES TO BE IN THE LIMELIGHT....I THINK THAT IS ALL HE CARES ABOUT...BUT VIENA IS DADDY'S LITTLE PRINCESS WHO EXPECTS TO GET EVERYTHING SHE WANTS...AND WHAT WAS THIS ABOUT HER NOT SHUTTING UP...EVERYTIME JAKE TRIED TO SPEAK SHE BUTTED IN....HEAVEN FORBID HE SHOULD SAY SOMETHING THAT WOULD MAKE HER LOOK BAD...HE DIDN'T HAVE TO...SHE MADE HERSELF LOOK BAD ALL BY HERSELF...I COULDN'T TAKE THAT FOR VERY LONG MYSELF...

I THINK THEY ARE BOTH VERY SPOILED PEOPLE WHO NEED TO GROW UP A LOT...AND REMEMBER...I ALOT OF PEOPLE DIDN'T LIKE VIENNA FROM THE BEGINNING..ME INCLUDED...

Oh my goodness, I think Jake is taking lesson's from Tom Cruise. Don't interupt me, What, who the heck does he think he is. I knew all along he had something going on, when he would talk down to the dancer on DWTS. The man is arrogant. Team Vienna and I wasn't on her team before. Bow down and kiss the ground I walk on.

Did you see Jakes rude face, and he thought by being quiet she would look bad, heck she was great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! His rude attitude is a joke, seen it before, the man is an ego freak. Just look at his face he was chopping at the bit. She was real at least. Him fake, fake, fake. I wonder why he was single, now I know.

YES!! I THINK VIENA HAD TAKEN ENOUGH OF JAKE'S ARROGANCE AND NOT ALLOWING HER TO SPEAK WHEN THEY WERE PRIVATELY TOGETHER. THAT IS WHY I FEEL SHE WAS DETERMINED TO HAVE HER SAY WITH JAKE! I don't like Vienna, but I felt worried that Jake was going to hit her with the way he was behaving. I was shocked. Yes she was interrupting, BUT I have NEVER seen a man get like he was. It was a side of him he probably should have kept private.

I think Vienna is ridiculous! When she sees herself on tv she will regret how she didn't let anyone get a word in! I have never seen anyone talk so much! I am not saying that Jake is perfect by any means, just that everyone had to listen to her side and we really never heard Jake say too much. She contradicted herself about going back to Florida... First he wouldn't let her go back, then she didn't want to go back, now she is in LA... SHe has issues and they surely didn't begin with Jake.

Jake is obviously not that sharp. I at first could not understand why he chose Vienna over the others. Gia was heads and shoulders above all the others, including the train wreck known as Ali. He got what he was looking for. He needs to go back to flying and Vienna can start making some more lewd YouTube videos.

Like any of this was real. the plain fact is that this is a tv show and only one of these "couples" has made it. all of this is for ratings. I have not and do not plan on watching any of htis rubbish. all I hear about them is TMI. out of 13 seasons how amy are still together. 1 and then for the girls only 1 is still together.

Vienna was awful, Jake couldn't get a word in. Ali had her number when she was on The Bachelor. Jake should have chosen Tenley or Gia, they were sweeter and much better looking inside and out than Vienna. I couldn't see what he saw in Vienna in the first place. Anyway, Jake is good looking, he'll have no problem finding someone else.
Well, Vienna will have a hard time getting someone and especially keeping them. She needs help!

I'm in agreement with almost everyone here. Vienna acted like a spoiled little baby, very whiney. She constantly interrupted both Jake and Chris. And when she no longer felt that everyone was listening to her she stomped off crying. I heard Jake use a stern voice but by no means was he yelling. And she had warning after warning from Jake ... "You're interrupting again." "Could I please finish my thought?" "Stop interrupting me!" Over and over again. Does she speak English?? Vienna came across as scared. Quite scared about what Jake might say. Which would make an excellent case for all her interrupting. He could barely get a word out. How can you discuss a relationship problem like that?? Among that entire mess there was 1 truthful statement, and that was from Jake. He said, "Vienna, you don't know anything about me." So true.

By watching this interview a few times,I can see that Jake was trying to control the interview.He also lost his cool and for being a airline pilot that is not a good thing.He very much was showing control over Vienna.If he was controling Vienna in the relationship then she has the right to stand up for herself.You can see by her actions that she has a big heart. I think Jake has taken a few acting lessons.He mislead all of us.............

Jake looked like he wanted to strangle her, I think he has a few control issues and just might be a religious nut who thinks women should shut-up and clean and cook and make babies while he is out working but I could be wrong and yes maybe he is really gay not that anything would be wrong with that. Yes she did interrupt him but I think he has a secret side.
