Who 'Blew It' During Jake and Vienna's Battle Royale?

Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi slung insult after brutal insult last night during their first televised chitchat together since their relationship went kaboom. (He said: "I'm disgusted with you." She said: "You are a fame whore.") Although it may have made for great reality TV, industry insiders tell me their performance has killed both of their aspiring careers.

"There were no winners last night," a TV executive tells me. "We got to see a different side of two people we thought we knew very well. And it wasn't an attractive side. In short, that interview was a disaster. It certainly didn't do Jake or Vienna any good."

Pressed for a pick, my source conceded that if there had to be a winner, it was Vienna -- but mostly because Jake came off as a bit nasty.

"The Jake we saw last night was so different from the nice guy we thought we knew. He has left us all wondering if everything he ever did was an act. His career is over for sure."

Vienna, who has already secured a job at a marketing company in Los Angeles, says she has no plans to pursue a career in show business.

However, Jake has never hidden his ambitions to become a full-time actor. According to IMDB, Pavelka worked as an actor long before his 'Bachelor' fame, with a 1999 spot on the cult/hoaky series 'Walker, Texas Ranger' and a role in the TV flick 'The President's Men.' For both roles, Pavelka is credited as Jake Landrum. Post-'Bachelor' fame, Jake has landed a guest spot on the Lifetime series 'Drop Dead Diva,' where he will play a bachelor contestant on a dating show.

But that was before we got to see how nasty he really is.

"Jake is a joke in the business and last night's performance has confirmed it," a casting director tells me. "He thinks he's going to be the next Tom Cruise, where in reality he is already the next Spencer Pratt." Ouch.

The director continues: "My advice is save as much 'Bachelor' money as you can, then go home to Texas and enjoy your life. Any chance that he might have had of a career in show business is over. He blew it last night. Making a girl cry on national TV isn't going to get you any work in this town."

PR expert Kelly Brady agreed, telling me, "In one corner you had Jake and in the other you had Vienna. Neither scored a knockout, but both were badly injured. But Jake definitely came off worse."

Miss Brady is not alone in her expert thinking.

Ronn Torossian, owner of 5WPR and the man who shaped the careers of Lil' Kim and Pam Anderson, tells me, "I think neither won the battle-royale at all, but in today's reality driven entertainment show arena, ratings and drama will win, rather than Vienna or Jake. They both spoke ugly of another, both were rude and inconsiderate and I don't think either of them won big points."

Ronn makes a great point. There was a big winner last night and that was ABC. Ratings were through the roof.

No, I disagree. I see him with a woman that falls somewhere around Ali's caliber. The reason being, I heard him rage about the money and the idea she needed to find a job several times through the interview. Anyone like Vienna that likes sucking the life out of someone and expecting them to be a loving, affectionate, doting husband, is eventually going to give it up. I do however, feel like he was performing from the start, and a bride was not necessarily on his agenda.

Good Lord! I certainly can't blame the guy for getting ticked off. After repeated requests for her to stop interrupting him, she continues to talk over him and he can't get a word in! Boo freakin hoo, what a sniveling little baby. She needs to get over herself.

I agree with you! Vienna is a DRAMA QUEEN! She never let Jake talk when he was asked a Question and he really didn't say much!

She is a Baby a DADDYs GIRL and she should grow up. IF I were Jake I probably would have done the same thing. AND I HAve!! if your trying to talk and you keep getting interrupted you have to just yell and say SHUT UP! And she is the FAKE one! And I liked Vienna and was hoping all the girls were wrong but I guess they were Right about her! Jake I guess needed to see for him self!

I'm sorry but I think they were both in it for what they could get out of it, she wanted to win and she did, he wanted this sexy woman to hang on his arm he got her. I believe they deserved each other, she's a spoiled brat and a show off, he's phoney as the day is long. this goes to show us all, that REAL love shouldn't have to do with ratings and bottom line is it's all about money. Only thing I worry about now is that they are BOTH on the loose god help us all Mother's hide yer sons, Father's hide yer daughters

I couldn't agree with you more. Vienna sausage has always gotten on my nerves. Jake I couldn't figure him out. Last night didn't do either justice. Vienna needs to grow up and realize that in a relationship it's not a one way street. The entire time she just kept saying he stopped, he wouldn't and he never. Well what did she bring to the relationship? And Jake he might have a short temper, however he has something to hide as well or why else would they have been there in the first place?!

SEEM LIKE SHE WAS LOOKING TO GET ON BACHROLETTE SO SHE COULD EXPERIENCE AND MAKE THE MONEY THAT IS WHY SHE DID WHAT SHE DID TO JAKE BUT SAYING HER JOB OR SHOW SO SHE CHOSE JOB. I think they both looked bad but I can understand Jake losing his patience and yelling at her. She talked nonstop and kept interrupting him. Most of the time when he was listening to her he looked bored and condescending. That made him look bad. No one knows who is telling the truth so how about we get on with our lives and tell them both to take a hike!

It's over for Jake. He came out of last nights debacle looking like an abusive, controlling creep. When he said it was the first time he had raised his voice to a woman, I knew he was lying. He has control issues and needs therapy.

Jake, Jake, Jake, you can't say you were not warned but you chose to listen to no one.
There clearly is not a winner here, however, I certainly can understand Jake's frustration, he clearly could not even get a word in edge wise, she kept badgering him, she would not shut up and that crying jag she went on was ridiculous! Jake, I bet Tenly is looking a lot sweeter to you now. :)
