'Bachelorette' Jillian Harris & Ed Swiderski Split!

Infidelity rumors have been swirling around 'The Bachelorette' couple Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski since last August. Now, according to US Weekly, they've split and called off their engagement.

Swiderski, who proposed on the reality TV show, admits, "We're both kind of resetting. Jillian isn't happy and I'm definitely sad about the whole thing, but we've got to work through some things on our own if we decide to move forward."

"I love him and I'm really sad, but I have to look out for me," Harris adds.

"There's bumps on the road, and we don't always deal with them properly," Harris said in early June. "Our life is not always perfect."

Last August, Swiderski's ex-girlfriend, Lindsey Johnson, and another woman, Bethany Steffen, both told Us Weekly that Swiderski was not faithful to Harris during the filming of 'The Bachelorette' or after she selected him as the winner.

Johnson claims that Swiderski sent text messages indicating that Harris wasn't his "type" and that he prefers "all blondes." Johnson says she slept with Swiderski not realizing he'd popped the question to Harris only a day before.

Almost 77% of PopEater readers didn't believe the couple would make it to the altar and would follow a long line of 'Bachelor' and 'Bachelorette' couples who split after the cameras stop rolling.

At the time, Harris seemed unfazed by the scandalous news, telling PEOPLE, "I am not destroyed! There's a little bit of anxiety that comes with this news, but I am absolutely not destroyed."

"What did he do wrong?" Harris asks. "My biggest concern is with everything that happened after the day we got engaged, and after we got engaged he has been so open with me. He's told me all of this, every little text message and every little phone call. I use his computer. I know that any communication he had with the girls post-show was platonic. I'm not worried about it."

Is anyone surprised? They seemed doomed from the begining. Never liked him, something shaddy about Ed. This show is such a joke, should be cancelled.

Not surprised at all. Reid was the one she should have picked. Ed was a player, and horrible dresser. Remember those shorts he wore in Hawaii?

I think we all should watch this show as a drama going on! I like watching the drama between boys, because they always claim that only girls have dramas,but,obviously,as you see, boys have more dramas :)

Have you ever seen some of the silly videos he makes with his family and friend? He is always loaded, and looks and sounds like a 13 year old kid. Maybe time to grow up!!! He is a good looking guy until he opens his mouth. Jill can do better.....Reid is still single.

This show is just so people can get famous it has been proven on the last 3. Out of 12? seasons only 2 have gone to the alter. I think more couples have gotten together on Survivor and Big Brother.

Another couple gone off to splitsville. Sad. We only see and hear what the media wants us to, what really goes on in these people's lives is between them, just as it up to them to work it out if that is what they want. The show had a good concept of matching people up but it is up to the individuals involved to either make it work or not.

I AGREE. LOVED ELI STONE AND FLASK FOREWARD. I'D HOPED THAT ONE OF THE CABLE STATIONS WOULD PICK THEM UP. THE NETWORK PROGRAMMING IS NOT QUALITATIVE, BUT LOW BUDGET AND LOW BROW. I RARELY WATCH REGULAR TV ANYMORE. IT WOULD BE NICE IF THE NETWORKS REALLY WANTED TO PUT OUT GOOD PROGRAMS AND ENTERTAIN THEIR VIEWERS. TOO BAD THE MEDIA HAS GONE THE ROUTE OF POLITICS.

This show should be canceled! I can only think of two couples that have actually stayed together. It's a waste of time to watch this show, so sick of seeing Jake's face by the way!

They split?! No kidding. Both 'Bachlor/Bachlorette shows are full of crap. I think the thing with all the couples that left the show happily after all the romantic times would eventually find themselves arriving in an apartment and then what? Not too rosy. Hardly a Cinderella ending. Just stick with the reality.
