Jeremy London Claims His Acting Skills Saved Him From Kidnappers

'Party of Five' star Jeremy London made headline news last month when he claimed he was kidnapped at gunpoint and forced to do drugs against his will. His mother and twin brother publicly doubted his story and many began to wonder about the validity of his tale.

"After hearing Jeremy's account of his alleged ordeal, it only brings up a million more questions about what really happened," his brother Jason told PEOPLE.

However, in this week's PEOPLE, London, 37, realizes how unbelievable his story sounds and opens up about what happened--and how he survived.

"If I heard someone saying this, I would probably doubt it as well," London says. But the actor maintains the kidnapping happened and that his acting abilities ended up helping him survive. "I was acting my way through the whole thing, telling myself, 'Just play like you are one of them,' " he says.

London was in Palm Springs visiting his estranged wife and 3-year-old son Lyrik when the incident occurred. Per London, after several men helped him change a flat tire, they kidnapped him by gunpoint and drove him around for 12 hours making him take ecstasy and smoke meth and then stole his car. One 26-year-old man has been arrested in the case.

London claims he's been sober since September and undergoing regular drug tests. "I haven't tested dirty ever," he says. London's sobriety is part of his ongoing case to regain partial custody of his son.

He may have fooled the kidnappers with his "acting", but absolutely no one believes his story, so he really isn't that good.

I was thinking the same thing. He has lied so much he actually believes this crock. If he were being kidnapped then why would he need to act like he was one of them? This guy is a true addict because right now he doesn't care who his actions hurt( the guy sitting in jail behind this).

OK, he really had me going for a while. I actually started to believe this whole story ( yeah right ) until he said he used his "acting" skills haha, ok, now i know its all a hoax, he has NO acting skills. Anyone who thinks he has acting skills is more than like confusing him with his brother. Hope he gets some help though, he seems to be only hurting himself, so probably isnt all that bad a guy.

I was in the trunk of the car the entire ride. Yeap... some of that meth smoke and weeeeed smoke made it to the trunk and mixed in with the exhaust. Yes, I recall Jeremy's fine acting skills. True dat no doubt. Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh ROFL.

He couldn't act his way out of a paper bag. No doubt he screwed up and did drugs which will show in his court ordered drug screening! He made up this ridiculous story, (hopefully he'll never try to write full time), and paid one of his party buddies who was stupid enough to take the rap/arrest to try and confirm the story.
