Kara DioGuardi 'Would Love' To Be a Mom

'American Idol' judge Kara DioGuardi, who just celebrated her one year wedding anniversary with husband Mike McCuddy, is taking life one day at a time. But she wouldn't mind adding a few kids to her life -- eventually. "[I'm letting] nature take its course, but we'll see what happens," she said. "I think [motherhood] would be really fun," DioGuardi told 104.3 myFM radio host Valentine. "I would love that."

"If that happens, it'd be great. I'd be very excited, yeah! That would be so awesome."

She married McCuddy, a teacher-turned-general contractor, on July 5, 2009, in Maine. The two met while he was working on a home adjacent to her property in Maine.

McCuddy has a teenage daughter.

I agree, I had 3 kids, hard work, thank God they are adults now. With the times were living in now, I wouldn't want to raise a baby. Don't get me wrong, I love kids, I have 2 grandchildren, sweet and so cute. I spoil them and then give them back to mom. Yeah!!

I for one wanted children in the worse way. I never had that chance and I am sickened by your replys. Go for it Kara. I wish you luck on it. Children are a beautiful thing to have. Yes, they are a lot of work but worth every ounce of it. How would you feel if you were reading what you wrote and you were the child of that person. Shame on you both!

Wow. I feel sorry for your kids. I have 4 kids, and yes, it is a lot of work. But motherhood is absolutely fun. I enjoy my children so much.

If you don't have fun with your kids, then you're doin' it wrong.

Her clock may be ticking but if she get's all the appropriate tests the baby should be fine. My friend had her one and only child at 51. Only bad thing when the kid is 20 she will be 71.

i love being a mother i have wo stepsons and a daughter,i think its very hard work but there alot of fun parts also like watching them learn new things and getting excited about it when your proud of them. parenting is very hard work

Wll Lindsay is a disaster. She will not get help until she is ready. I praise her father, I don't care what anyone says about him he loves his daughters. What kind of mother would let her 16 year daughter stay with Lindsay. If her mother would stay out of her life and let the father love his daughter there may be a chance. He will use any avenue he has to get to save his daughter if it means the media so be it. He is trying to save her life. Her mother clearly just cares about her own life.....

well im almost 70 and me and my wife raised 3 boys and 1 girl and i thank god they made it to adulthood,and we have many stories both good and bad and i have to say at times if a gypsy caravan would have drove up to my house i would have sold then for a good horse ,but on the other hand they also have been a great source of joy in my life.Now i have to say in this day and time i would never have a child because of the cost and al the bad things there are out there to make your childs life h ell on earth as well as yours.
