Lindsay Wants $1 Million for First Post-Jail Interview

You can bet Lindsay Lohan will have plenty to say when she's sprung from the joint later this summer, but if you want her for a TV interview you'd better have deep pockets! Sources tell me that deals are already in the works to secure Lindsay's first post-jailhouse chat for a whopping $1 million. You heard right, a cool mil!
"Financially, it's the best thing that could have ever happened to Lindsay," a magazine insider tells me. "It's no secret that Lindsay has been in financial trouble for a while. She will earn more money from her post-prison interview than she ever earned acting."
Lindsay is not the first celebrity to turn her troubles into a cash cow.
The New York Post reported that Paris Hilton was offered a million dollars for her post-prison interview back in June 2007. After a public outcry, however, several media outlets ultimately decided not to pursue Paris, forcing her to give her interview away to CNN's Larry King for free.
Paid interviews, while routine in Europe, are still taboo here in the USA. The way major networks get around this is by engaging in "licensing" deals that provide compensation for the rights to personal material, most often video footage or photos.
Sources tell me that this is exactly the type of arrangement Lindsay is looking for.
"Expect to see a major TV and magazine deal," a source close to Lindsay tells me. "Lindsay might have made a lot of mistakes, but she knows how much her first interview is worth. She won't even consider offers of less than $1 million."
Dan Wakeford, editor-in-chief of Life & Style magazine, explains to me why Lindsay's first interview is worth so much. "It's everyone's primal fear to go to jail or have a child go to jail."
Candace Trunzo, editor-in-chief of Star, believes that the appeal is part of the public's fascination with Lohan. "For better or worse, we're invested in Lindsay. We've watched her self-destruct for years, always anticipating the worst."
However, Michelle Lee, InTouch Weekly's editor-in-chief, warns, "I think her first post-prison interview will get a lot of attention, but it depends how long she actually ends up staying behind bars! At the same time, Lindsay always seems to have an excuse, so it would be interesting to see if she finally tells the full truth."
And what that truth is ultimately worth to Lindsay is far more than $1 million dollars.

Totally agree with you! She'll make the ordeal as bad as possible for public sympathy! Hopefully someone will knock her down to size while she's in there.
she got what she deserved

she will not even spend the full 90 days in jail or in drug rehab either.she will not change and her mother should also be held responsible for some of the way lindsey has been acting and the things she has done like getting drunk with lindsey and sure she did some drugs too,im sure.
Good career move!

She really thinks that 90 days was too harsh? She won't even do 90 days I would say she be out in maybe half that time. Lets see how she would've felt if she had run over some innocent person drunk.

DrRobert - I think the actual calculation is 23 days that she'll have to serve. Then off to rehab where she can score some more drugs!
Is it not against the law to profit from a crime? Perhaps not but this brat does not deserve one nickel! She has broken the law, snubbed social decencies and will merely dope and drink herself into oblivion once she is on the street again. Sadly this social wreck has fans who will see no wrong in her behavior. She is already laughing at society and all entertainment people need to boycott her now.

So why are we all reading this article? It's not the "entertainment people" who need to boycott her. They're making millions off her lunacy. It is US. It is you and me and everyone else with a prurient interest in the bad behavior of "celebrities" who is at fault. It is you and I who need to quit clicking on articles like this one, to quit tuning in to shows that feed off her bad behavior. Blaming it on the media is silly. WE are who feed this shark frenzy.
If there is money to be made, the entertainment industy is not going to boycott her. It's up to all of us who keep buying the rag mags, tuning in to the junk on tv, seeing her movies. It's up to the public, if they are so outraged, to boycott all thing Lohan. Money dries up and she goes away.
The Industry should stand firm that this type of behavior is unacceptable and should not be rewarded. Thats Hollywood and we as readers should say NO More!

Skanks reading about a skank. Or what rich trailer trash do in their spare time besides setting in court.

She'll get the money- and it will have to last a while. I doubt many acting jobs will materialize any time soon. She's proven herself unreliable. Also, really, her acting is not very good. Never has been. She needs to detox and rethink the self-destructive path she keeps sprinting down...
She's not going to have many friends in there . I'll bet she finds a drug in there ,and it will ultimately kill her .
So Sad

Someone turn off the media coverage on Lohan or is that Lolife? What has this walking piece of feces done for society that demands such coverage? She is setting examples for the fans on how to flaunt authority disobey the law and then thumb her nose and get paid for it. OMG

Antbody who offers her that kind of money is a moron. Nobody cares about this crybaby loser. You'll get nothing and like it !!

That's great...Reward her for all of her bad behavior. She will do 25 days, and be out, and rehab is a joke...and there she stood, crying, and she tweets about how it is an abuse and inhumane. She is a product of all that Hollywood now stands for. Being famous for nothing, she has contributed NOTHING to our society, she thinks she is so above any and all, and I am so sick of all the drama. She wouldn't last 5 minutes living in reality. Poor her, my heart bleeds...for the children who might actually look up to her. My kids know what she really is, I tell them everyday. Her and Brittney, Paris, and all those other losers.
