Lindsay Wants $1 Million for First Post-Jail Interview

You can bet Lindsay Lohan will have plenty to say when she's sprung from the joint later this summer, but if you want her for a TV interview you'd better have deep pockets! Sources tell me that deals are already in the works to secure Lindsay's first post-jailhouse chat for a whopping $1 million. You heard right, a cool mil!
"Financially, it's the best thing that could have ever happened to Lindsay," a magazine insider tells me. "It's no secret that Lindsay has been in financial trouble for a while. She will earn more money from her post-prison interview than she ever earned acting."
Lindsay is not the first celebrity to turn her troubles into a cash cow.
The New York Post reported that Paris Hilton was offered a million dollars for her post-prison interview back in June 2007. After a public outcry, however, several media outlets ultimately decided not to pursue Paris, forcing her to give her interview away to CNN's Larry King for free.
Paid interviews, while routine in Europe, are still taboo here in the USA. The way major networks get around this is by engaging in "licensing" deals that provide compensation for the rights to personal material, most often video footage or photos.
Sources tell me that this is exactly the type of arrangement Lindsay is looking for.
"Expect to see a major TV and magazine deal," a source close to Lindsay tells me. "Lindsay might have made a lot of mistakes, but she knows how much her first interview is worth. She won't even consider offers of less than $1 million."
Dan Wakeford, editor-in-chief of Life & Style magazine, explains to me why Lindsay's first interview is worth so much. "It's everyone's primal fear to go to jail or have a child go to jail."
Candace Trunzo, editor-in-chief of Star, believes that the appeal is part of the public's fascination with Lohan. "For better or worse, we're invested in Lindsay. We've watched her self-destruct for years, always anticipating the worst."
However, Michelle Lee, InTouch Weekly's editor-in-chief, warns, "I think her first post-prison interview will get a lot of attention, but it depends how long she actually ends up staying behind bars! At the same time, Lindsay always seems to have an excuse, so it would be interesting to see if she finally tells the full truth."
And what that truth is ultimately worth to Lindsay is far more than $1 million dollars.

this b*tch should just burn in hell. i cant believe were still talking about her. How bout giving that 1 million to starving kids, or tuition for broke college kids huh? or is that too much to ask from America and its so called "stars".

"Burn in Hell?"............Isn't that a little overkill. The worst thing the girl has done is try to destroy herself. I wouldn't wish "burn in Hell" on her. Sure hope you never do anything worse, like inadvertently kill someone. You might just hear someone say that about you. Lighten up.
Of course! It'll go straight up her nose and laugh in our faces as she does it.

this is good. Now with a million dollars, and the coke dealers on alert, she will overdose and, that my friends is called, " a good thing ". We can only hope.

I read the article because i couldn't believe that there is someone out there willing to pay her a million dollars for an interview when she is released from jail. First off she is going to do what maybe 23 - 25 days. She needs a lot more than that. Second do we really care about what happened to her in jail and how unjust her sentence was? she should have gotten a lot more time then she did. Third she broke the law, she and her mother apparently think that Lindsay is above the law. What did her mother expect, a slap on the wrist again. Her mother should have to do the same amount of time in jail.
Why does Lindsay think she should be rewarded for going to jail. When will Hollywood learn that this behavior should not be tolerated? We need real role models for our kids, not drug users and alcholics.

I hate to say this, but the truth is she may not live to see the end of her jail term. She has made a lot of people angry.
Say a pray for her.

That crying job she put on in court was her best acting so far. But that look on her face when the judge said 30 days, 30 days, 30 days, was priceless.

"Box Office Poisons" preformance on that interview will be the worst role of her life.

This is just effing wrong on so many levels. Get a grip... one million, makes me want to go out and brake some law so I can get sent to jail, then sell my story, oh wait, only in Hollywood. What a joke.

She must be running short on drinking and drug money.

do you understand what a million dollars can do to help out needy families all over the world - there are people starving all over the world and you give this bimbo a million dollars for an interview? S he is not a role model to my daughter - she should actually be blacklisted from movie roles to teach the little idiot she needs to get her act together - these girls all have good publicity agents and beleive me he will get a part of this million dollars

I can't stand Lindsay Lohan and, frankly, don't care a bit what happens to her. She definitely should not get any money out of this jail stay, since that would be like paying her for her bad behavior.

Odds are she will be paid this and make even more. People; including many that are posting about this cannot take their attention away from this trainwreck. The only way for it not to happen is for everyone to turn away. That will not happen>

Please.... You all talk like she's off to the "Bighouse"! She will be so protected where ever they end up sending her. She won't be placed anywhere near any violent people. She will be kept safe. She might as well have been placed under house arrest. SHE WILL NOT BE TREATED LIKE A REGULAR INMATE!

So Let's reward her for her irresponsibility?? She is a drug addict and greedy Biatch...I say make her serve her full sentence..I am so tired of these celebs getting off lightly!

Lindsay not only needs to address her addiction .. She needs to address her attitude and her values .

IF YOU JERK-OFFS PAY HER, U ARE REAL SCHMUKS

THis is absurd, a star who does not follow rules and regulations and finally gets what the normal person would have received along time ago, will benefit from doing wrong. its wrong. Please do not pay for her first interview. What are we teaching people. Do wrong and get paid big time.
