Lindsay Lohan Hires a New Lawyer

Lindsay Lohan has found herself a new lawyer, after Shawn Chapman Holley resigned as the actress' counsel.

According to TMZ, Lohan has hired Stuart V. Goldberg, a defense attorney from Chicago.

Goldberg met with Lindsay, her mother Dina and her sister Ali for six hours after flying to Los Angeles at the 'Mean Girls' star's request.

Lindsay is expected to surrender for her 90 day jail sentence on July 20. But Goldberg says they will fight the sentencing.

"Instead of making her reactive, like a pin cushion, [we're going] to be proactive. We're gonna go after them," he tells TMZ.

A judge sentenced Lindsay to 90 days in jail and 90 days of rehab after she broke her probation agreement from 2007 DUI.

She has no career,very few movie producers will hire her, so who pays for the Chicago lawyer? His meter starts ticking the minute he leaves Chicago. My thoughts, shut up, don't PO the Judge anymore and do your time. Then go away!

Agreed! To think that if this stupid idiot had just gone in when she was sentenced she would have had five days already. She should have just sucked it up and did her time. I think then it would have shown she was taking responsibility for her actions. But no. Mommy dearest had to get her two cents in and screw everything up. This poor child has always had a sense of entiltlement. I can't stand people like that. When is she going to get it through her head that her mother is the real problem. Of course we all know why. She is probably still reaping in the rewards from the small amount of money that LL makes. She has no other living and that is why she is also pushing Ali to have some type of career. Remind you of someone?

The previous lawyer quit because this silly girl refuses to get it, won't follow instructions, and ignores legal advice. So this new mouthpiece is spouting off? Nothing will change, as the judge was well within her discretion when she sent the fool to jail.

I figure her old attorney quit because he was fed up with her. I wonder how long this attorney will last if she pulls the same stuff with him. She needs the jail time and probation. It might be her last chance to put her life and career back on track.

I hate this spoiled c_nt. I'd love to see her go to jail, freak out on a nicotine withdrawl, and get shanked. Then we wouldn't have to see her or her pathetic family anymore. Do the time Wenchzilla!!!

P.S. She should just go into porn. That way she can do all the drugs she wants and show off her "talents".

she a has been already and only made a few movies and they all stunk. she doesnt want to accept that she is an alcoholic and drug addict. 90 days in rehab is nothing. any other slob would have at least 6 months to a year and after that mandatory drug testing and outpatient program to help her get stay clean 1 day at a time. i have over 33 months clean and sober and i dont miss any of that crap.

This new lawyer is going to fight the sentence? Lohan broke the law, flew in its face and the judge, perfectly legally, gave her a lenient 90 day prison sentence. Does Lohan think she is still above the law and the judge was wrong? Everyone is out of step as Lohan sees it - except her. Treble the time, judge!

You still have the right in this country to appeal a decision and to hire a new lawyer. The whole Lohan family sucks but they are determined to try to fight this instead of deala with the reality of the problem and all that can be hoped for is that another judge upholds the original decision. Unless LL goes into reality TV her professional career is over. She was never more than a margiallly talented child who starred in a few kiddie flicks.

She obiviously is not capable of good judgement because of drugs etc; what is the excuse of those that supposedly care for and love her?
