Former 'Idol' Chris Daughtry and Wife Reveal Sex of Twins

Former 'American Idol' contestant Chris Daughtry and wife Deanna revealed via Daughtry's website on Monday they are having a boy and a girl. The couple previously announced they were expecting twins in May.

In the rocker's latest video blog, he announced, "We have big news. We are having a boy and a girl. We're very excited about that. We do have names picked out but we're going to keep them to ourselves until further notice."

Daughtry and his wife are expecting twins through a surrogate. IVF was used to conceive because Deanna had a partial hysterectomy four years ago.

When they announced the pregnancy in May, the 'American Idol' alumni said, "Deanna and I are overjoyed about this double blessing. Thank you for your expressions of love and support and for respecting our privacy during this special time."

The new babies will join older siblings Hannah and Griffin.

congrats on the twins! but i do not get the freaken shaved head. grow your hair out. you have hair, grow it our or are you just to lazy. you are a good looking guy. but your head is gross. sorry i hate the shaved head. and iwill not buy a shaved head guys music.

if that is all you have to go by in your choice of music, than you should be ashamed. How utterly shallow! I would like to know just how YOU know he is being lazy??? Good grief! Get real! Are you 12 years old? At least stop and re-read your post before you hit "submit". Summer break for the school kids I guess.

Chris Daughtry is not an "Idol" He did not win the title. Does everyone that was on the show qualify as an "Idol" I don't think so! Only winners of the title should be called the "Idol"

Ellen, chill.... Everyone who makes it past 'hell week' is considered an 'Idol' because they're on American 'IDOL'. The winners of the show are considered either 'current' (obviously for just the year they won), or 'former' Idol winners. So, since Chris didn't win, but was on the show he's considered an 'Idol'. Sorry.

Am I the only one that questions the birth date of Daughtry's twins? how can they know the sex already (not usually available until 4th month), and the babies are due in 9 months ? what is wrong here ?

God bless! Chris and Deanna Daughtry have said the twins are due to be born this November - 4 months from now. Therefore, they are able to confirm the sexes of the babies at this point. The Daughtry family originally released their good news in May.
