Lawyer Claims Lindsay Lohan Is a 'Fragile Lost Child'

Although Lindsay Lohan met with lawyer Stuart V. Goldberg after Shawn Chapman Holley resigned as the starlet's counsel, he has declined to take on Lohan's case,
PEOPLE reports.
Goldberg met with Lindsay, her mother Dina and her sister Ali for six hours after flying to Los Angeles at the 'Mean Girls' star's request. "My impression of Lindsay is that she's a fragile lost child – a sleeping beauty with her head in the sand. I found her not fully forewarned of the consequence of her actions," Goldberg told
PEOPLE.
"I'm concerned that she's not disciplined or tethered enough to the reality of adult consequences," he adds. "She doesn't seem to have the awareness of what's going to befall her."
A judge sentenced Lindsay to 90 days in jail and 90 days of rehab after she broke her probation agreement from a 2007 DUI. Lindsay is expected to surrender for her 90-day jail sentence on July 20. PopEater's Rob Shuter reported that Lindsay plans to
stay out of jail -- no matter what it takes.
The Chicago-based criminal defense attorney is worried that Lohan "was in a dangerous state" and might hurt herself.
But ultimately, the Lohan clan had too many requirements for him and he walked away from the case. He claims they demanded "100 percent loyalty and zero tolerance for dishonesty," but "they didn't seem to understand the urgency and gravity of the situation."
"My real worry for her is not just the jail time," adds Goldberg, "but my fear is that she's overly susceptible to a probation system that's set up for her to fail."

the reason he declined to take the case is probably because she wanted him to take his fee out in trade.

Not to defend Lindsay, but this guy talks too much.
No doubt he was in it for ten seconds of fame. And he got it.
Now THAT'S a smart lawyer.

Ahhhhhh poor baby. Lock her up then put her in rehab for 6 months, if she can't learn anything in that amount of time then lock her up again. Time to grow up Lindsey.

umm thousands of juveniles who have, are, or will be in juvi suffer the same insecurity...growing in the public eye must suck but this apart of the human condition...she is acting like a brat...and to think she could of been almost one week through with her sentence. Over and over again IDIOCRACY!

The party is finally over... Time to wake up to the real world little girl.

LL is an alcoholic addict with a sense of entitlement who is surrounded with enablers which now include this clueless attorney.

The attorney is the best thing that has happened to LiLo in a long time. He refused to take the case because the Lohan camp was trying to limit him so much. Zero tolerance for dishonesty? Everyone has been honest with them - this girl is troubled and needs to cooperate.
Very well put. Time for Lindsey to grow up and take responsibilty for her actions.
lk... READ the article - it does NOT include the "clueless attorney" because he will NOT take her case. Why don't people READ the articles before they post? Isn't difficult. Anyway, Lindsay's mother is coddling her and carrying on like the girl did nothing at all wrong. Read some of yesterday's interviews with Dina. she is nuts and so is the father and in the end if someone with maturity and brains doesn't step up and soon, LiLo may not live long enough to get to the 20th because NO ONE is giving her the TRUE facts of life as far as what she is TRULY facing!
Send Mom to jail with her.

I'm so tired of hearing about these troubled young stars refusing to take responsibility for their actions & believing that money & star power can get them out of anything. Oh wait...it can. I'm tired of it. And maybe it's a bit mean spirited, but I want to see Lindsay go to jail, face up to her actions & take responsibility like the rest of would have to if we were in her situation.

You're not being mean-spirited. You're right on the money when you say Lindsey Lohan needs to go to jail. I used to like her myself, but I got turned off when she started acting up. She needs to grow up and take responsibility for her actions. If it had been you, me, or a celebrity in another state that was tough on probation violations, we would've been in jail long before she would've been.
LL just turn yourself in and do the time. Stop thinking you are somebody important. Get over yourself.
Plain and simple she is an alcoholic in denial. Let go, stop enabling her; unfortunately she may wait until its too late to get help. She isn't sick and tired of being sick and tired yet.

Which is another reason for not taking the case. She DOES have her head in the sand. Why would anyone want to represent her? Why will anyone want to hire her? She's going downhill, but she hasn't gotten there yet. It's just a shame that charges filed in 2007 haven't been resolved yet. If she cooperated, this would be concluded by now.

lol @ fragile lost child; oh well bet he sticks with that fantasy huh

Of course she doesn't understand, cuz she thinks she a pampered princess, who is above the law. She thinks she can do whatever she wants and the law doesn't apply to her. Wake up Lohans!!! Put her away for the full 90 days, then 90 days in rehab. That is one smart lawyer.

In layman's terms, she a dumb blonde.

LL is NO BLOND: she had black hair the previous day.
LL is a Falling Star, with molney problems. She is still a mental child, who is about to learn adult lessons: Responsibility for one's actions
And she is no queen, above the law!
