Tape 2 of Mel Gibson's Continuing Downward Spiral of Rage Emerges

As you may have heard by now, Mel Gibson's in some serious hot water. Actually, "hot water" is pretty much the understatement of the century. It's more like a steaming vat of nuclear waste, if a vat of nuclear waste could also spew out endlessly vitriolic rants that manage to offend and horrify virtually anyone unlucky enough to be in earshot. After years of making headlines for his homophobic, sexist and anti-Semitic episodes (read our full roundup of Mel Gibson WTF-ery here), a much-buzzed-about audio tape leaked last week, containing sound bite after cringeworthy sound bite of Gibson's verbal assault against ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva (whom he has a child with). And naturally, like any Gibson project, there's a sequel. And like any good sequel, it's about a thousand times more explosive than the first. Our analysis of the newest release, or as we call it, stop two on the Mel Gibson farewell tour, after the jump.

First off, let's talk about that tape! The newly-leaked audio (which you can listen to over at RadarOnline -- WARNING EXTREMELY GRAPHIC, OFFENSIVE, DISGUSTING, ETC.) is hands-down the most disturbing thing we've ever had the displeasure of listening to. A manic, breathless Gibson shouts for eight long minutes, repeatedly threatening to kill Grigorieva via baseball bat and most damningly (as if we could narrow it down to just one moment) admits to hitting her and knocking out two of her teeth in a drunken episode as she clutched onto their young daughter. "You have no f***ing soul!" Mel screams. And strangely enough, he's not referring to himself.

Let's be honest, folks -- there is no bouncing back from this. At this point, the only thing that could make us think any less of PEOPLE magazine's 'Sexiest Man Alive' for 1985 would be if he, well, actually there is nothing (until the threequel, of course). That's how destructive these tapes are. Can anyone legitimately picture him headlining a film ever again? Some light romantic comedy with Meg Ryan perhaps? Voicing an animated fairy tale prince? More like retreating to a far-off island (which he presumably owns) and living a life of isolation and hopefully some serious remorse. That's only if he doesn't end up in jail first. Yes, our forecast is grim for old Mel and we're definitely curious to see how this unravels (or explodes as the case may be).

Doesn't matter if Mel's career bounces back or not. When you make 1.35 BILLION off of just two of your films ( Jesus Christ & Maverick )you can say what you want. Give em HELL Mel Say what you think and let the wanna be's cry all they want.

Mel has shown his true colors again. I have heard these words spoken to me by my ex-husband. A horrible, control freak, who thinks everyone is out to get him. So Mel, If you think she's so horrible, why did you marry her????? You will never regain your image or career back after this. Keep it up, you have sealed your own fate, you can't blame her. Everything you say to her is how you feel about yourself. Its called projecting. Take a look in the mirror, you're the reason this is happening, not her. Give it up Mel, its over.

First of all Mel doesn't need a 'boycott'; he has more money than most of us will see in a lifetime so that is not relevant. He should have laid off the booze, stayed with his wife and stayed away from skanks. Someone said she should "flee". Yeah, right. If she was so concerned for her child's life, since this happened back in January, she should have left then....I blame them both, I feel sorry for the kid they should never have brought into the world.

Well I like his movies and plan on seeing more of them. What a man thinks and feels is up to him. Let me see if I remember, " Do not judge as you will also be judged " Not sure how it goes but you get the point, at some point in your life I am sure you have all done things you wish you did not do. It is just so much easier to see it now not everyone in the world had cell phones with tapes in them years ago. If you like his action movies continue to watch them if not, do not spend your momey. But running him in the ground makes you no better than him.

Always loved Mel since his lethal weapon days and am in shock and very saddened by this and the other problems he had when getting the DUI and calling the officers names. Blamed that on the alcohol, but this, even under the influence, is inexcusable. He needs help, big time. My father was very abusive when drunk, and very sorry when sober but Mel was raised by a mean bigot, so go figure he’d say things like this. Mel was happily married for years and Robyn his ex wife must’ve of loved him very much to stick by him because this kind of behavior is not developed over night, or she was able to handle it and knew how to defuse it. Since his split, he’s gotten worse so maybe it was never this bad when he was married? Who knows??? I feel bad for his family. I don’t feel that sorry for her, but no one should take this. She, I feel is a gold digger and used Mel and maybe that fueled the fire here and we did not hear that part of the tape? I do feel she should stay away from him, and maybe put the child in protective custody because I don’t think the kid is that safe with her either. I do understand everyone’s anger, but this is a man crying for help and lets hope he gets it.

She must have had to do something pretty nasty to make him blow up that way - you know, in order to set up taping him. I mean, who goes around with a tape recorder "just in case" something like this happens. Not excusing what a dink he is, but just sayin' - she knew what she had to do to make his alter ego show up. Remember, these people, from either side, are always in these abnormal relationships for a reason. Elin was no innocent in marrying Tiger either.

Extra and all the medias has been talking a lot damaging words about Mel without any investigation.Where is the line by law no to damage children.women. men.and whatever is in the way.The media sounds not to smart on how to describe, and visualize situations doesn't matter that the goals are to sensationalize the events.
