Bret Michaels: I'm Not Engaged ... Yet.
Despite reports that rocker
Bret Michaels has proposed to his on-again, off-again girlfriend of 16 years, Kristi Lynn Gibson (via
Star), he says it's not true. "No. We are not engaged yet," Michaels said during a
CBS Early Show interview on Wednesday morning."We're a work in progress." Although Gibson has been spotted with serious bling on her finger, Michaels called it "a promise ring ... a friendship ring, with benefits. That's what we call it."
Earlier this week, sources told Star Magazine that Michaels proposed after the Fourth of July holiday weekend while the pair were at his ranch near Scottsdale, Arizona.
"Bret felt like now was the time because Kristi has been through so much with Bret and has been by his side every step of the way," a friend of the couple told Star. The friend said Michaels has changed since his
brain hemorrhage earlier this year.
The couple has two daughters together: Raine Elizabeth, 10, and Jorja Bleu, 5.

I think it's sad that he has to be on his death bed in order to get married. It's selfishness, like how people get married than go off to war and leave their woman alone for a good year or two. They'll just end up getting a divorce.... Who wants to bet? I called it!

Can anyone explain why he's always wearing a bandanna? Is he balding or does he have scaring from his auto accident? Seems odd that he'd wear one all the time--and sometimes with a hat too.

No way teleron, Bret did not loose like Holly, in fact, did she not loose twice? Bret definitely deserved to win. And one thing about Bret he never threw anyone under the bus like Holly. He was always gracious and non critical, he was great!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree. When Holly lost, she lost big time, especially that cheesy Bali apartment. Every task Bret worked on, his teammates used his ideas, every one. Even when his team lost, it was by a "fraction". I think he deserved to win, no sympathy slant at all.

This guy is slime! I can't believe he hosted "Rock of Love" where he claimed he was looking for love and had his way with numerous women when all the while he had a wonderful woman for 15 years and two children. I fell bad for her! Why she is still at his side boggles my mind. It shouldn't take a near death experience for him to realize who he can count on. If she really wants him, I hope for her sake he does propose. Get it straight Brett, family will always be there for you. Forget the shallow bimbos and move on.

Don't believe everything you see on TV or hear. He seems to be a nice guy and she must love him, so let them find their happiness. No one is guaranteed a happy life together forever, rock star or not.
