Bret Michaels: I'm Not Engaged ... Yet.
Despite reports that rocker
Bret Michaels has proposed to his on-again, off-again girlfriend of 16 years, Kristi Lynn Gibson (via
Star), he says it's not true. "No. We are not engaged yet," Michaels said during a
CBS Early Show interview on Wednesday morning."We're a work in progress." Although Gibson has been spotted with serious bling on her finger, Michaels called it "a promise ring ... a friendship ring, with benefits. That's what we call it."
Earlier this week, sources told Star Magazine that Michaels proposed after the Fourth of July holiday weekend while the pair were at his ranch near Scottsdale, Arizona.
"Bret felt like now was the time because Kristi has been through so much with Bret and has been by his side every step of the way," a friend of the couple told Star. The friend said Michaels has changed since his
brain hemorrhage earlier this year.
The couple has two daughters together: Raine Elizabeth, 10, and Jorja Bleu, 5.

These two have been together 16 years ..Men are so afraid to get married now..Even though they truly love a woman and have children with them ..But I can't much blame them..Look at all the horror stories we have heard lately about ex wives taking men to the cleaners .. Women better wake up or marriage as we know it will soon be nonexsistent.

terelon, you sound bitter. I think Bret deserved to win. Holly was fantastic, no doubt about it, but Bret did much of everythng he did with also still doing concerts, etc. Not much sleep for that guy. I'd say they were a draw, both fantastic and both won lots of money for their charity. Isn't that's what's important here?
