Casting the Kitty Kelley 'Oprah' Tell-All Movie

Kitty Kelley's controversial (and unauthorized) biography on Oprah Winfrey, called 'Oprah,' will be made into a TV movie, EOnline.com reports.

According to E!, Kelley made a deal with producer Larry Thompson, who wants to get the project on air around the time that Ms. Winfrey signs off from her daytime talk show.

We here at PopEater hoped to help them out in the casting department. Here are who we think should play the significant people in Winfrey's life and, of course, Oprah herself.

Now, we imagine that it'd be tough to fill these parts with A-listers, since no one would want to anger Oprah. But we like to dream.

In the role of Oprah Winfrey, Jennifer Hudson
Winfrey's an Oscar nominee, so it makes sense to put Oscar-winner Hudson in the role.

In the role of BFF Gayle King, Zoe Saldana
Zoe is so hot right now. Who would be better?

In the role of longtime love Stedman Graham, Jeffrey Wright
Jeffrey has the quiet gravitas to take on the role of O's rarely seen or heard lover.

In the role of interior designer-slash-life planner Nate Berkus, Bradley Cooper
They look so much alike, we couldn't pass Cooper up.

In the role of jury consultant-turned-protege Dr. Phil, Tom Cruise
Cruise loves a good bald cap.

In the role of Oprah's beloved president Barack Obama, Will Smith.
We've already cast Smith as Obama on PopEater. We just want to keep it consistent.

In the role of ratings foe Phil Donahue, Leslie Nielsen
Leslie should get a chance to demonstrate a more serious side of his acting skills. And this is the perfect opportunity for it.

In the role of her estranged father Vernon Winfrey, Danny Glover
Glover co-starred with Winfrey in 'The Color Purple' as her father-in-law. It shouldn't be a stretch to play her real father in this.

In the role of unauthorized biographer Kitty Kelley, Joan Allen
We smell Emmy for Allen if she takes this role.

I am sure KT didn't mean it in a mean way at all, it is just an opinion. The girl who played Precious is an AMAZING actor. She is beautiful and so it Oprah. If you didn't jump to conclusions and be mean about it, you might relies that.

Oprah should be played either by MICHAEL CLARK DUNCAN or VING RHAMES. Gayle should be played by QUEEN LATIFAH or JAMIE FOXX.

LOL! Oprah should be played by an ACTRESS not a SINGER. Hudson won the Academy Award for several reasons but not for her non-existent acting ability. Ru Paul would make a better Oprah than Oprah...but maybe Paula Newsome would work a little better than Ving Rhames!

Did anyone see the biography on PBS about Oprah? Naturally, this biography was "approved by the Queen herself", because everyone in her family was made out to be "fabulous". It made me want to throw up. It was hardly a biography, since the biographer was clearly smitten by Oprah and only divulged the "good parts" of her family history. I'd like to see a "real accounting" of Oprah's life. Warts, toads and all.
