Larry King Calls Howard Stern 'Worthless,' Stern Says 'He's a Frog'

Howard Stern thinks
Larry King is both a "loser" and "the luckiest man in show business," according to the
New York Daily News' Gatecrasher, citing the shock jock from a weekend Hamptons party.
But those were far from the worst of Stern's words -- he called the
soon-to-be-retired CNN newsman a "f***ing ass****" on his satellite radio show Monday, after hearing the 'Larry King Live' host bashed him in a magazine interview last week.
"No, I wouldn't want to be compared to Howard Stern," King, 76, initially said when Steppin' Out magazine asked if Stern, 56, might make a fitting
replacement for his nightly slot (King will sign off this fall). "He's not tasteful at all. You go to the least common denominator and that's Howard Stern. I regard Howard Stern as worthless."
The Daily News' columnist informed Stern of King's comments over the weekend in Southampton, NY. "It's alleged he was
banging his wife's sister and he's saying that I'm tasteless?" Stern replied, reportedly incredulous. "He's a frog ... an imp and he's the luckiest man in show business."
Stern gave a harsh sum-up of King's career: "He did overnight radio. He got no ratings. He moved to CNN, where he had no competition. As soon as MSNBC and Fox News gave him a little bit of competition, the cards folded. Let's be honest, he didn't retire willingly. The man had one foot in the grave. It's obvious, he is no longer relevant."
While the shock jock indicated no plans to take over King's program (or to join 'American Idol,' it should be noted), he hypothesized that if he did slide into King's chair, "I would do everything that Larry doesn't do because Larry's a loser and he lost his entire audience."
King declined the News when asked for a rebuttal.

Howard keeps it real and thats why people like him. I never watched Larry King in my life, but if Howard took over for him I would watch it all the time. If Howard ever retired his fans would be devastated and nobody cares that Larry is retiring (really got fired). Larry is just jealous of Howard.

The only ones who support howard stern are kids. Teen aged boys thinks howard is 'cool.' If it wasnt for teenagers, we wouldnt have ever known who howard stern was.
He is filthy talking, and looking. Its sad he never knew to expand his vocabulary years ago. Howard only knows cuss words at the age of 56. His time with us should be about over, I hope. He has nothing to contribute to adults. Why on earth is this guy still here?

Howard is right when he says, "Larry does his sisters wife and he calls ME tasteless"! Howard is very smart, and funny and he does NOT need to say dirty words. He would be perfect to replace Larry King as Howard would ask questions that cut to the bone where Larry was the KING of all BROWNNOSERS. Howard would not be allowed to swear on CNN and he would widen his audience and be a hit because his quick wit and humor would be intact without the four letter words.

stern is so so more witty and cleaaver than king, this is not personal, but how did larry ever get a job in broadcasting to begin with? he's just NOT charming, cleaver, or witty, he's not... how did he get that job??? its shows me that i'am for sure able to do it better, and would be able to think up intersting questions without writters telling me what to ask??? o.k. go ahead and write me...

Actually - neither King nor Howard are worth the time of day - Howard is a shock jock who is just plain vulgar, and Larry - his act is old and retiring would be a good thing. I don't listen to either, because neither are relevant anymore. I also don't want to hear anymore about RL. Talk is cheap!
