Jail Time Equals Big Payout for Lindsay Lohan

While there are conflicting reports about how much Lindsay Lohan will make for her first post-jail interview, the numbers being discussed still prove she's going to have a huge payday. While she may not be a bankable movie star anymore, media outlets are flooding her with requests to talk to her after she's done in the slammer. PopEater's Rob Shuter previously reported that she was already working to secure a whopping $1 million for her first post-jailhouse chat.

Sources told Page Six, "The irony is Lindsay is in demand. The bidding is over $500,000 for the rights to the pre-jail interview, the prison diary and the first chat when she is released."

"But Lindsay is still convinced she'll get a reduced term -- even if she has to go to rehab afterwards for longer. She has spoken to a number of lawyers over the weekend. She's even seeing a psychic for guidance," the source added.

Lohan is not the first celebrity to turn her troubles into a paid gig. The New York Post reported that Paris Hilton was offered a million dollars for her post-prison interview back in June 2007. After a public outcry, however, several media outlets ultimately decided not to pursue Paris, forcing her to give her interview away to CNN's Larry King for free.

Although Lohan met with lawyer Stuart V. Goldberg after Shawn Chapman Holley resigned as the starlet's counsel, he has declined to take on Lohan's case, PEOPLE reports. Robert Shapiro, who defended OJ Simpson in his murder trial, had initially put in a bid to overturn her 90-day sentence, which is to start July 20.

"My impression of Lindsay is that she's a fragile lost child – a sleeping beauty with her head in the sand. I found her not fully forewarned of the consequence of her actions," Goldberg told PEOPLE. "I'm concerned that she's not disciplined or tethered enough to the reality of adult consequences," he adds. "She doesn't seem to have the awareness of what's going to befall her."

A judge sentenced Lindsay to 90 days in jail and 90 days of rehab after she broke her probation agreement from a 2007 DUI. Lindsay is expected to surrender for her 90-day jail sentence on July 20. PopEater's Rob Shuter reported that Lindsay plans to stay out of jail -- no matter what it takes.

Enough of this girl already, go to jail, she deserves no money for a post jail interview, who cares about her time in jail. She is a has been. Get a new life away from Hollywood.

Yes - her 15 minutes are long expired!!! And at such a young age! I wouldn't pay 2 cents to hear what she has to say, even if God interviewed her! She needs to just go away, there are plenty of others more worthy of the entertainment spotlight in a more positive light!! Had it been any of us regular people with 2 dui's plus whatever else, we'd have long since been locked-up and had the key thrown away!! She should do her 90 days and be grateful that's all she got!!!! She is nothing but a SPOILED BRAT!

I have heard enough about this girl. She is out of control and I feel jail will do her some good. She needs to be in for a long period of time to remember how good she has had it. She has no concept of what a joke she is. SHE IS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE! She is clueless, and I dont care if she dropped off the face of this earth. She is worthless and useless.

she's just another long island princess that thinks her crap don't stink--her 5 years of fame as a child star are over--she's done nothing memorable as an adult except act stupid and irresponsible--suck it up and do your time--even paris hilton another vapid waste sucked it up and did her time--there's nothing specail about lohan--what a cry baby--if that were some else's daughter-sister-friend they'd have to do what the courts ordered and i doubt they would have gotten off as easy as she did they'd be doing a full 6 months in jail not half jail and half rehab and the rehab would probaly be at their own exspense--waawaawaa what a cry baby--i guess it pay to have total disregard for the courts and justice system--i wonder what's gonna happen when she runs out on money and has to get a public defender

Good God All Friday, if this was Joe Blow off the street America, he would go and do his time. Celebrity has to stop somewhere, and an American Citizen has to take over. If you can't do the time, don't do the crime. This Judicial system must make a stand. Any money made from her "POST INCARCERATION" interviews should go to the courts for defense of other DUI's and drug users.

you"re half right she should not profit from any moneys for interviews but the money should go to the education against drunk driving and drug abuse--she's just lucky she's never injured or killed anyone because of her stupidity--then i would say it goes to the victim or survivors

Why should people pay her ?
Why would anyone care . She isnt going to be treated like the every day criminal that she is . Because of her Claime to fame she is using it to her advantage. Plus what jail wants to get a law suite .
She she be put in the "HOLE" for 90 days with a bunch of REAL criminals

I for one think she deserves a Year in a maximum security jail.

Well bottom line is is you break the law you deserve the same punishment as everyone else .
