Tonight, the Discovery Channel will air Phil Harris' final episode of 'Deadliest Catch.'Harris suffered a stroke while filming the show on Jan. 29. Although he showed signs of recovery after surgery, Harris succumbed on Feburary 9.
Over the past couple of months, PopEater had the chance to talk with Discovery Channel star Mike Rowe about his memories of Harris, as well as Phil's 'Deadliest Catch' pals Jonathan and Andy Hillstrand.
Rowe described Harris death as "emotional" for everyone. "When you lose a guy like that on a show like this, it shifts the focus on the community," the 'Dirty Jobs' host explained. See the video after the jump.

Phil will be missed. I always loved watching his interaction with his boys. Your father lives on in you Josh and my heart goes out to your family.

it's terrible when anyone loses his dad. and every dad has his flaws. i know i have mine. and losing my dad was beyond awful. are people having this overreaction to a tv dad for any particular reason? maybe you should turn off the tv and call your REAL dad, before he's gone. this is getting ridiculous.

Hey J and J,
Dad may be gone, but his essence lives on you both. His warmth, his playfulness and love for his sons was clear to this viewer, and I am sure, to other fans too. Guys, keep the family business together, work together. You guys are luckier than most because you have each other, as brothers and partners, to lean on.

Phil was the favorite captain to me and my husband. Josh and Jake, I lost my dad at the age of 51. I was only 14. Your father
was very much loved by so many viewers of the show. His presence will be truly missed.

lets see..3 packs cigarettes a day,no exercise,a high fat high cholesterol diet, maximum stress, sedentary . it makes sense and is consistant with present medical knowlege that he should have a stroke or heart attack and die.sad but predictable. i bet no one including his sons change there lifestyle. it's a bet as good as gold. i'm gonna miss him cuz he was a great fishermen and a hard worker. rip phil

loosing a father is really hard. I lost my father when i was about 21. to the sons I hope you read this. my father has been gone for over 10 years now. A song or a movie reminds me of him. I celebrate my father every year on his birthday I make him a cake and me and my family remember him. Or when we go to the ocean where his ashes were scattered and we write words of love for him. my father died of cancer and it was really bad so to the boys hang in there and it eases with a lot of time.
PEACE PHIL PEACE YOU WERE AWSOME TO MILLIONS OF PEOPLE AND WILL BE VERY MISSSED BUT REMEMBERED ALWAYS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
