Charges filed against '30 Rock' actor Rip Torn stemming from a January burglary bust have been dropped, RadarOnline reports. The 79-year-old actor has made a name for himself in Hollywood over the course of his 54-year career with roles in a number of hit films, including the 'Men in Black' series.Torn was arrested on January 29 in Salisbury, CT, after allegedly breaking into a Lichfield Bancorp building while drunk and carrying a loaded weapon.
Torn's attorney, A. Thomas Waterfall, has petitioned for the actor to undergo accelerated rehabilitation, consisting of alcohol education classes. Under the conditions of this program, charges against Torn, a first-time offender, could be dropped following a probation period.

Hes 79...give him a break. 79 and drunk he was lucky he vaguely remembered what his house looked like. He is a good actor and apparently this is not his normal behavior so give the man a break. Ive seen lots of senior citizens his age do crazy things. stealing cars etc.

Once you grow older, I hope that someone suggests that you be euthanized because they feel you are no longer useful in today's society. I hope you realize what a cruel remark you've posted. It likely would've been a Litchfield county judge rather then Fairfield county. As judges in CT aren't elected but appointed then approved (or not) by the legislature (unless it changed since I moved from there) pandering to the liberal glitterati likely wasn't an issue.
Not that pandering to his own star-struck self wasn't an issue for the judge........
