Bristol Palin Getting Married ... To Levi Johnston!

Perhaps the most on-again, off-again politically tinged relationship we've all had the pleasure of following has taken a new turn:
Bristol Palin, 19, and Levi Johnston, 20, are engaged again,
Us Weekly exclusively reveals.
"We got engaged two weeks ago," Bristol tells the magazine. "It felt right, even though we don't have the approval of our parents."
That's right -- Sarah Palin doesn't approve. But the couple says they reconnected three months ago, while hashing out the custody details for their 18-month-old son, Tripp. Bristol and Levi were engaged once before, but called it off just weeks before she gave birth.
"I really thought we were over," Levi tells Us Weekly. "So when I went, I had no hope. I think we both just started talking -- and then we took Tripp for a walk."
Bristol finishes the tale: "When he left that night, we didn't hug or kiss, but I was thinking how different it was. He texted me: 'I miss you. I love you. I want to be with you again' ... I was in shock."
The lovers have often seemed permanently star-crossed -- even long into their separation, they habitually referenced each other on talk shows and in magazine profiles.
And though they've run circles around each other -- and been bound by a son together -- Palin and Johnston have faced adversity, both from outside and from each other. Bristol sought some of Levi's paycheck for his
Playgirl photo spread; Levi told
GQ Bristol's father Todd offered to buy her a new car if she dumped Levi.
Bristol said in January one of her lowest moments came after the big split from Levi: "I was just rocking Tripp to sleep because he had been screaming for so long. I was just like, 'What am I going to do? This is as bad as it gets,'" she
told In Touch.
Now things are looking solid for the couple, though Bristol says it's "intimidating and scary" waiting for her mother's reaction. "Hopefully she will jump on board."

i agree .. we could call it ozzy meets the palins hosted by gene simmons!
They said it wouldn't last. Too much against them. They were 16 and 18 when they married. But 64 years later they are still together. They are my mom and dad. Had their ups and downs just like any other couple. It happens all the time. Give these kids a break. PLEASE

Nancy, with all due respect, your parents (God Love Them) were obviously deeply in love and had the fortitude to make it work. They were a different generation. These two are spoiled, selfish drama seekers that between them have an IQ of about 8. Your folks weren't airing their dirty laundry to anyone who would listen to them. They were making a life for themselves and a family. Bristol and Levi will last about 6 more months. I wish they would just go away.
PALIN IN 2012!
This is proof that women mean lean a thing.

What?
These 2 kids need to get as far away from her mother as they can if they are to have any hope of making a marriage work. I hope they can work it all out and make a happyy home for their son. I feel sure had it not been for her mom they would already be married.

Bristol is either desperate or a moron. Probably both.

It can't be easy for these kids to live their lives with the whole country watching. While neither one seems particularly mature, I hope things work out for them as a couple and a family.

If they do not wan't the exposure move to the in-country ! Otherwise they seem to enjoy it !
We care because we know he is a sleez. His mom is a dope head and his ability to make an adult choice is less then 0. I wouldn't want my daughter and grandson near him.

MOMMIE NEEDS TO TAKE CARE OF HER LIFE. LEAVE THE DAUGHTER AND HER BABY'S DAD ALONE. WE LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKES. IF THE MARRIAGE FAILS IT WILL BE THEIR FAULT AND NO ONE ELSE. HOPEFULLY WE WILL NOT HAVE TO PUT UP WITH "MOMMIE DEAREST" FOR FOUR YEARS IN THE WHITE HOUSE!! MY OPINION ONLY.

This is so funny. People say why are we so interested and that it isn't any of our business. If this is all true why in the world do we click to read about Bristol and Levis as well as others. Maybe it isn't any of our business but, they put it out there for us read and I think most people find it interesting to see what is going on with the famous. Maybe it makes us feel better to know our lives are really better than theirs. Who Knows?

I'm guessing you're single and likely to stay that way. You're a three-named redneck pig.

She should think about this twice. He disrespected her by trashing her mother over and over again in the tabloids! He also disrespected her when he left her alone and pregnant. When the going gets tough, Levi gets going! He is only out for himself (selfish)...and is not ready to be a husband or a father!

Wow, what's with all the nastiness? Yes, they've made mistakes, and who knows if it will work out, but they're giving forgiveness and reconciliation a good try, which is more than I can say for a lot of people in the public eye. If they do get married, I hope the parents will support them totally, cause the support will help them.
