Bristol Palin Getting Married ... To Levi Johnston!

Perhaps the most on-again, off-again politically tinged relationship we've all had the pleasure of following has taken a new turn: Bristol Palin, 19, and Levi Johnston, 20, are engaged again, Us Weekly exclusively reveals.

"We got engaged two weeks ago," Bristol tells the magazine. "It felt right, even though we don't have the approval of our parents."

That's right -- Sarah Palin doesn't approve. But the couple says they reconnected three months ago, while hashing out the custody details for their 18-month-old son, Tripp. Bristol and Levi were engaged once before, but called it off just weeks before she gave birth.

"I really thought we were over," Levi tells Us Weekly. "So when I went, I had no hope. I think we both just started talking -- and then we took Tripp for a walk."

Bristol finishes the tale: "When he left that night, we didn't hug or kiss, but I was thinking how different it was. He texted me: 'I miss you. I love you. I want to be with you again' ... I was in shock."

The lovers have often seemed permanently star-crossed -- even long into their separation, they habitually referenced each other on talk shows and in magazine profiles.

And though they've run circles around each other -- and been bound by a son together -- Palin and Johnston have faced adversity, both from outside and from each other. Bristol sought some of Levi's paycheck for his Playgirl photo spread; Levi told GQ Bristol's father Todd offered to buy her a new car if she dumped Levi.

Bristol said in January one of her lowest moments came after the big split from Levi: "I was just rocking Tripp to sleep because he had been screaming for so long. I was just like, 'What am I going to do? This is as bad as it gets,'" she told In Touch.

Now things are looking solid for the couple, though Bristol says it's "intimidating and scary" waiting for her mother's reaction. "Hopefully she will jump on board."

You really think liberals are "threatened" by these people? Liberals LOVE the attention they are getting. The more the country can see of the Palin family, the more they realize what lowlifes they are. I would venture to guess that any true liberal is HOPING that Sarah Palin is the Republican nominee in 2012. Next to Obama, she will appear to have the intelligence of a rock.

These people are uneducated, Anti-American, ploys put in place BY REPUBLICANS, not Democrats.....and their stories are grim and filled with all of the BS that we try to avoid in our OWN families. REAL mothers KNOW what their kids are doing 24/7, or atleast try to, Bristol got knocked up just like her mother, has no education, just like her mother, and he's unemployed, just like Todd Palin......see the similarity? And you probably would vote for this mess to sit in the White House, right?

I love this. People write and say who cares, but yet you clicked the story to read it, correct? Then you took the time to respond by typing YOUR opinion that no one cares.
Okay. Right.
This is a young couple, who haven't lived much life. The only
difference in them is that they have been on tv and in the news. Many young people make dumb mistakes. They, (we) just never made the news.
The sad thing is there is a little boy that will be changed for his parents behavior if they chose the wrong way.
There are some that have married young, grew up fast and became good responsible parents. Let's hope these two will be among those.

Is there nothing these people won't do for money and fame? This is totally a publicity stunt. Now they'll receive money from magazines, tabloids, TV interviews, etc. They've learned all of this from the momma grizzly herself, Sarah Palin!

wow i wonder if they will get married at the white house in 2012 or the playboy mansion.

I'm guessing Bristol missed being in the spotlight, so she needed something to get more attention. The McCain people who dubbed the Palin Family as the "Wasilla Hillbillies" certainly had it right! I'm guessing the young couple will live off their publicity fees and MARK MY WORD, will be the subjects of a reality TV show before long!

What a Bogus thing them getting back together, they were never really (Together) except when he knocked her up. I think Sara is right on the money not giving her blessing to this ludicrous marriage which will last days not even months, and then the media will cover the divorce. Media, media, media when will they ever just back off and let the country Bumpkins alone, Levi doesn't have the sense of a 4 year old if they took his brain and Put It In A Sparrows Head It would Fly Backwards..Take the truck dad is offering to Dump The Bum, it's a solid deal that will last way way longer then any marriage will between them.
