Carrie Underwood's Fairy Tale Wedding

Country crooner Carrie Underwood is officially off the market, following her weekend wedding to Ottawa Senators hockey player Mike Fisher. PEOPLE reports that the 'American Idol' winner wed Fisher at the Ritz Carlton in Greensboro, Georgia, on July 10.

Fisher and Underwood, who began dating in 2008, tied the knot in front of 250 family members and guests, including Garth Brooks, Faith Hill and 'Idol' judges Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell.

The bride, who wore a "huge" Chantilly lace and silk organza gown by designer Monique Lhuillier, changed quickly into a cocktail dress following the ceremony, explaining, "I wanted to get my boogie on."

Underwood was accompanied down the aisle by her rat terrier, Ace, who sported a Swarovski-studded pink tuxedo.

"Mike was like, 'He's in pink! What are you doing?'" Carrie says, "But he looked so handsome."

According to EOnline.com, the tiara Carrie wore -- a gift from the groom -- was more than 40 carats of diamonds.

Guests found their table assignments on hockey pucks, and were treated to a four-course dinner, including sushi, risotto lollipops and a wedding cake made entirely of cupcakes.

The ballroom was also bathed in pink. "There was pink lighting and pink things hanging from the ceiling, flower balls and ribbon and sparkles," Carrie describes.

In a statement issued by the couple regarding their nuptials, they exclaimed, "We could not feel more blessed to have found each other and to have shared this day with our friends and family that mean so much to us!"

The 27-year-old singer and 30-year-old hockey player got engaged last December.

i coulnt agree more.looking at those pictures makes you sad.I guess he is your tipical jock.What an idot to have a woman like herand she is walking behind him,dont think that relationship will last long just hope he isnt as abusive as he looks.

Why does everyone think divorce right away??? Be happy for her!She is a very spiritual person and it will work out for them if everyone shuts their mouths and leaves them alone!! The media and people just ruin lives that could be so happy!!! It is just sickening how no one is happy for other people anymore. It just is jealousy LEAVE THEM ALONE!!!!

I didn't see a lot of smiles from Fisher. Maybe it is his ego. In my opinion, he can't get much better than Carrie. I'd be smiling ear to ear!!

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt a little sad looking at those pictures. Carrie's smiling in some, but I only saw one picture where Mike sort of smiled, but it looked more like a smirk. He might be the nicest guy on the planet, but his body language and facial expressions seem at odds with that. Who knows...maybe he's just tired.

How would you act when your privacy is being intruded upon. Go live in a fishbowl and then let the rest of us know how you liked it. They married "late" and had lives before marriage I'm sure they were ready for marriage and hope they will be very happy.

I thought they looked happy. I think they are both just a little shy about showing their feeling out in public..Just something more for the media and people to talk. I'd like to see some pictures from the wedding. And I love that they took their honeymoon to Bora Bora! I did as well. Seeing the pictures of them at the airport reminds me of when I was there. It was the most beautiful place in the world, better than the Caribbean.

Carrie Underwood is such a nice person. I hope this person does not change her into a Lohan. She is always smiling, and she also looks humble. She does not appear to be snooty like some of the young singers/actresses. I do hope and pray that he is good for her. She is too sweet to be hurt.
