Courteney Cox Opens Up About Botox and Keeping Her Marriage Together

'Cougar Town' actress Courteney Cox is on the August cover of InStyle and in the accompanying interview the stunning brunette reveals why she indulges in Botox, how she keeps her marriage to David Arquette healthy and how she almost quit acting before she landed her life-changing role on 'Friends.'

The actress talks candidly in the interview, admitting to seeing a therapist on a occasion. "We've done couples therapy in the past. We're not lazy about our marriage.. "We have the same arguments we've had for years," she tells the magazine.

More excerpts from the interview after the jump.

On her use of Botox:
"Aging gracefully is one thing, but trying to slow it down is another. Sometimes I use Botox. Compared to most, I use it very sparingly. One time I did too much, though. I feel weird if I can't move my face, and that one time I overdid it, I felt trapped in my own skin. I don't have a problem with any of that stuff; if it makes you feel better about yourself and it's done properly, then fine."

On her marriage to David Arquette:
"We have fun together and separately. We each have all the freedom in the world, which makes for a very comfortable relationship. It's easy for people to just coexist, especially when you have such different interests and work lives. You have to make an effort to stay connected, and that's something we work at."

On whether she ever contemplated quitting acting:
"No--although there was a time when my dad thought I should get out. It was right before I got Friends, and I probably had a month to go before I was completely broke. I used to add up all my money in the bank and divide it by months or weeks depending on how bad things were. At one point my dad called me and said, 'You have always been a great salesman. I think it's time you come home and sell swimming pools.' I don't think I would ever quit acting, but there are other things I am interested in. I wanted to be an architect, and I wish I knew more about landscaping. I think I'd be a good therapist too. Maybe I could start a little group therapy thing."

Courteney Cox's Cougartown show is so flippin stupid. I don't even think she's that funny. Just my opinion. But it must be good, because apparently it's doing good on ratings.

I know right! Women can't win. They get trashed when they don't look their best, then if they do things to look their best.....they get trashed. See what you men have created! A lot of self critical women that don't think they are good enough so they resort to botulinum injections, deadly diet pills and plastic surgery!!!

Im a male, so it aint all of us. If there were a pill for 5 bucks that would put your body back 10 years the entire world would be on it in a second.

I had no idea she had a new show and its sad to hear her marriage is so bad that she and her husband have had to seek pro help in keeping it together.A marriage works or it doesnt,the moment my marriage has me sitting in front of a therapist then Im done.Being married is a great feeling,its a wonderful thing indeed.My wife and I have never had an arguement at all,ever,not even close.We get along fantastically at all times.If a marriage is a good one then you never argue,that person is your other half,that is the missing part you finally found that finishes creating you.Im sorry she seems to be in such a wrecked marriage,thats very sad.

If you've really never had an argument with your spouse, then THAT is what's very sad. People are individuals. No two people see absolutely everything the same way. I've been married 20 years and have one of the most solid marriages around (according to all our family and friends), and OMG, we argue ALL. THE. TIME. We still love, like, trust and respect each other - but we each have a brain, and we argue.

Lisa,a strong woman would find a man that would do that to her,a strong woman wouldnt do that for a man or anyone else.Lisa a strong woman would get a lift or a tuck if she wanted to because she wants it for herself and she is fighting gravity that beats us all up at some point.No man does anything to you,you do it to yourself....a man hits you once and its his fault,if he hits you again its yours,you stayed......understand?

Laura.....NOPE....we simply have it figured out and I know what you are thinking.I do NOT boss my wife around,she does NOT boss me around,I do stay out of her way,she stays out of my way.I have a life and I do what I want when I want...motorycycles and hotrods,she joins every social org in town to help out humanity and we meet in the middle some place.She is sweet,she is beautiful,and I do my best to be kind and treat her how Id like Id like to be treated but no joke,never had anger or an arguement since I met her in 05 and never had ANY ISSUES AT ALL since we were married in 07...not ever and thats NO LIE.
