Lindsay Lohan Moves Into Sober-Living Facility

Lindsay Lohan, who was recently sentenced to a 90-day jail term by a Beverly Hills judge, has checked herself into Pickford Lofts, a Los Angeles sober-living facility. PEOPLE reports that the actress, who is scheduled to begin serving her sentence next Tuesday, entered the facility, founded by former O.J. Simpson defense lawyer Robert Shapiro, on Wednesday of this week.

Shapiro has been active in the addiction community since his son Brent died of a drug overdose in 2005. He started The Brent Shapiro Foundation to promote alcohol and drug education and help individuals struggling with addiction get help.

Lohan, who was sentenced to jail for violating probation related to a DUI arrest, was reportedly visited the night before her arrival at Pickford by ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson.

i absolutely dont wish death upon you but since your opionion
is that she is just a kid at 23 and what she is doing is no big deal
i just hope that it is not some innocent child that she kills
the next time she drives stoned and drunk. why not take aim at those who would protect her since they happen to think its no big deal.
should lindsay kill someone next time and god forbid it was your child i wonder how forgiving you would be then

I agree its a ploy to get out of jail time, she should serve her time then go back to rehab.
She is a has been, I wish we didn't have to read about her so much.

Guess her new lawyer is giving her all kinds of advice. She deserves her punishment just like anyone else. She doesn't want to detox in jail... Not a pretty thing!

LiLo will love jail, she can get a lot of new womens!

The justice system is a big joke, that is why it is best to just stay out of trouble.

I cannot believe that some people think that she should not pay for her crimes. My advice to you is to go do the same things she did and see how much jail time you get. That FU on her fingernail was not just meant for court, it was to everyone who read it, you and me. That is her attitude to society and you who think she should not pay the consequences are too dense to see that.

What Lindsey needs is a total change of life by surrendering her life to the Lord and getting into a Teen Challenge Program. They have the highest success rate of them all....it works!!!

This is B/S pure and simple. A bold faced attempt to avoid serving her jail sentence. A warrant should be issued for her arrest as son as she's late reporting to begin serving her sentence and she should be made to serve EVERY DAY of the sentence and two extra days for every day that she is late beginning it. While we're at it let's let her lawyer, who most certainly advised this action, serve as her cell mate every day that she's there!!

No then she can sue the state for failing her by not sendig her to jail. I like the rule about DUI's in German and several other countries: First DUI you lose your driver license for life no exceptions. I you are caught driving with out license because of a DUI I think it a manditory 1 year with a max of 5 year in jail. Third time it is manditory 5 years with a max of think its 15 years.

Gee, how wonderful that she's voluntarily checked herself into a sober-living facility!!! Are we all supposed to be happy or excited about this? I'd be willing to bet that her new attorney and perhaps a good P.R. person came up with this idea - she's not that bright to think of it on her own, especially because she believes she hasn't done anything wrong! Why must the public be subjected to almost daily updates on an alcoholic who flaunts the law? And does ANYone really care that her old girlfriend visited her? I think not!

Is this a court approved modification of her sentence? Certainly if that were so the gossip news, I mean entertainment news, would have blabbed all about it.
Don't tell me, next thing that will play out in the Lindsay Lohan drama will be her not reporting to do her jail time and being in rehab will be the excuse she uses.
Sooner or later the point that she is not above the law will have to be driven home, much to her chagrin.

wait.. doesn't she have to show up for jail next week?... is this a one week rehab?.. she'll most likely not have to do jail time now.. good thing not everyone is as untouchable as this girl seems to be or the streets wouldn't be safe from all the drunk drivers out there.

I really don't think Lohan will get out of jailtime (frankly, she's pizzed off too many judges and their ego's are as big as hers) ..... but then again she won't do the entire 90 days, either.
