Did Oksana Try Bribing Mel Gibson of Millions?

TMZ is reporting sources have "hard proof" Oksana Grigorieva used tapes of Mel Gibson's explosive rants to attempt to extort him of more than $10 million. In return, she allegedly would have kept the tapes under wraps.

"The sources say there are e-mails and other 'physical evidence' to prove it. As one source said, 'There's a long trail of evidence,' " TMZ writes.

With a legal investigation set to be launched against Gibson, these allegations could turn the fiasco into a messy two-way street -- claims of domestic violence against Gibson, claims of extortion against Grigorieva.

Gibson's estranged wife Robyn spoke out yesterday, defending the 54-year-old actor against allegations that he hit ex-girlfriend and baby mama Grigorieva.

"Mel never engaged in any physical abuse of any kind toward me before, during or after our marriage," Robyn Gibson said in a declaration to a Los Angeles judge overseeing the custody battle between Gibson and Grigorieva, TMZ reported. "Mel was a wonderful and loving father."

"Robyn felt she needed to speak out to protect her children and family," a source close to her told PEOPLE. "Robyn's tried to stay out of this, but she wanted to make sure there was no speculation of what happened within her family."

Gibson began dating Grigorieva just a few weeks after his ex-wife of over 30 years filed for divorce.

While I realize we can't really know the TRUTH about the dynamics between these 2, I still agree with those who posted that this is, most likely, a set up; she's probably in collusion with someone with tape editing skills who's been promised a cut of whatever she collects after dragging Mel's a** through the public ringer in the hopes he'll settle just to get rid of her. From the very first time I saw her photo, I thought she was a psycho and this only cements my thoughts. Stupid Mel for thinking with his johnson, now he's paying for it 10x over...

Mel was the one who took a girlfriend while married and got the woman pg. Granted she is a piece of work..but so isn't he. He's got a mouth, drinks too much and has too much money. Now he's lost his looks from drinking and smoking...Lost his good wife and his kids. He can't blame anyone but himself for the mess he's in...

The only thing that would make a man go off like that, go that mad is a woman pulling his strings. There's always tow sides to every story and this woman setting him up like this with private cell recording is obviously a money seeking oportunist that not only broke up his marriage, which is likely at the root of his anger but ruined his life

Of course she tried to screw him. It couldn't have happened to a "nicer" person. He's still a violent, racist, butt-hole.

First of all, she didn't break up Mel's marriage. It had been on the rocks for years and they probably stayed together for the kids. Secondly, I don't know what kind of man you are but there's NOTHING that would make me talk to my fiancee that way. Even if she cheated on me, baited me, whatever; I still would never act that violently.

WHY Blame Oksana??? Mel's a big boy and he made bad choices. So now he's ruined his marriage, his career and he's made and trying to blame everyone but himself. Sure she a piece of work...but if he had 1/2 a brain and carried about a 20 plus yr. marriage this wouldn't have happened in the first place.
