Mel Gibson's Next Bombshell: Rehab?
Mel Gibson has been keeping a very low profile since his shocking,
racism-ridden tapes leaked online. So why hasn't he been talking? Sources tell me Gibson's team is looking into various rehab facilities, hoping the actor will consider checking himself in as early as Monday.
"There's no question about it. When someone is recorded issuing death threats and vulgarity to describe the mother of his child, he needs help," Keith Ablow, MD, Forensic Psychiatrist and Fox News Contributor tells me. "The man on those tapes is full of rage, psychologically disordered and dangerous. He needs immediate psychiatric intervention and comprehensive treatment for years to come."

Celebrities tend to retreat to "rehab," which is sometimes more like a luxury vacation, when they hit a massive bump and want to fade away for a while. But insiders tell me Gibson's camp is serious about him getting help. They're currently looking into a rehab with maxim security that is far away from Los Angeles.
Even if rehab is a heartfelt decision, some are already questioning why Gibson would check in. "Going to rehab lets you hit the restart button," one crisis management publicist tells me.
"If Mel is seen going to get help than he has a chance to start rebuilding his life. Tiger Woods did it. Jesse James did it, and now it seems like it's his turn. My only hope is that Mel is going because he's serious about getting treatment -- not just to help his image."
At this point , it is impossible to tell. But don't be surprised if Gibson decides to take some time away from Hollywood and detox his image in rehab.

Why did she wait 6 months to release these tapes? Sounds like she tried to extort more money from him. I think she is nothing more than an opportunist and he fell for it. Good luck Mel.

He knocked her tooth out while she was holding the baby. Decent men don't treat the mother of their children that way. He got her pregnant while he was already married to a very decent woman. Decent men don't behave that way. This is a no brainer.

I hope Mel realizes that he has gotten out of control and gets the help he much needs. He will always be a first rate actor and director. I believe that the woman pushed and pushed him until he broke and I just heard earlier on one of those news magazine shows that her dentist said that the missing teeth weren't the result of being hit in the mouth. They said there were no bruises to stand by that report. I think it was TMZ. Anyone that plans and carries out such a ruse it horrible. Who tapes conversations for awhile, unless they know they plan on using them for their benefit? Pathetic people who can't earn their own way in the world and try to live off of someone else's wealth, that is who. Real nice role model for her child, or children if this is the case.

A good 6 months in a real rehab away from CA. will be a great change fro Mel G. Sometimes it takes getting away from everything and starting from scratch to see where to go next. I hope he goes to rehab and it works for him. Choose wisely tho!!!!
