Tim Robbins Recorded 'Midlife Crisis' Album

Speaking candidly with BBC's Radio 4, Tim Robbins said the trying times after his split with Susan Sarandon pushed him to record a collection of songs about the matter.
"A midlife crisis -- I think we all go through something, it's inevitable," Robbins, 51, is quoted in the
Daily Telegraph. "It's when you pass 40, inherently we double our age when we think about life. You start thinking about how many years you've got left. 'What the hell am I doing here?' I asked myself. 'What is it that will make you happy? What is it you have not done that you will regret not doing?' "
Recording an album was apparently one facet of his new sense of purpose -- the 'Shawshank Redemption' and 'Mystic River' star will release a record later this year. "I was thinking about calling it 'The Midlife Crisis Album', but then I thought that's not going to sell any copies. Then I thought, 'How about Songs of Love and Misery'?"
Asked if he expects to find love post-Susan Sarandon, with whom he spent 23 years and has two children with Robbins answered "Let's hope it's out there."
Asheville, North Carolina's
Citizen Times newspaper reported Friday that Robbins appeared in the town with a new gal pal:
"Twitter is abuzz with Asheville's latest celebrity sighting: Actor Tim Robbins was apparently spotted gnoshing at Greenlight Cafe and then attending the big Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes show over at the Orange Peel. Robbins was hanging with his girlfriend, a woman whose son is reportedly a member of the Magnetic Zeroes, according to the tweet."
Sarandon, 63,
recently said, "It's a long time to not be dating and to then be going back into it. I certainly love the idea of being in love, and I love the idea of companionship. Whatever happens next in terms of romance or partners, I don't know. But it's exhilarating and terrifying."
The actress gave a playful "no comment" when asked if she's currently involved with anyone. Reports have speculated a
possible romance between the 'Thelma & Louise' star and Jonathan Bricklin (32 years her junior), one of the co-owners of Sarandon's New York ping pong club,
SPiN.

Midlife crisis can hit at 35, 45, 55 etc., It doesn't matter when. However, most of these crises are more damaging than anyone couldimagine. We start looking for that magic somewhere else and eventually realize that we wont find it and that the magic was really with the person we were with all along in the first place but by then so much damage has been done that there is no going back.
