Even Australians Don't Want Mel Gibson Back

It seems everyone is mad at Mel Gibson these days. And now, in an effort to get out of the spotlight and win back his ex-wife Robyn, the movie star plans to pick up his family and move back to Australia. But, do Australians even want him back?

Australian native, and Bravo's most colorful Real Househusband ever, Simon van Kempen, tells me exactly what he thinks about Mel Gibson and what the actor once meant to Australia.

"To see Mel's implosion over the last 5 years has been maddeningly sad to say the least," he told me. "As a young Australian in the late '70s and early '80s Mel was THE Australian (although American) in the international film business and not surpassed until Russell Crowe (although a New Zealander) came along."

The reality star continued, "Once we got to know the real Mel... we could see he was a little different; a member of an extreme religion, the son of a father with pretty disgusting views and then, when he was arrested for a DWI, his anti-Semitic tirade showed the apple hadn't fallen too far."

"Once he fell for the beautiful Russian Oksana Grigorieva, his 24-year marriage publicly crumbled. And after claims of domestic abuse surfaced, Mel is now seen as a vile and disgusting human being whose career is surely done for," he said.

van Kempen concludes, "How ironic that after the demise of his relationship with Oksana, reports are now surfacing that he and Robyn are going to head back to Australia where perhaps he can escape the wrath of the U.S. media. Australia might be 14 hours by plane from Los Angeles, but it's still just a nanosecond away via the Internet. And I doubt Mel will get much peace there."

"For Mel, it seems his epitaph may well come from his movie titles as he's certainly no longer 'What Women Want,' and his language is not for the 'Braveheart,' and so it seems he's reverted to the movies that made him famous. But instead of 'Mad Max' he's now Mad Mel."

This russian b is after Mel's money. If you listen to these tapes, you can hear a women trying to upset Mel. Mel shouldn't have fallen for this and should have controled himself. His baby's moma is after Mel's money.

Really....have you even listened to the tapes? She's speaking fairly calmy and Mel or as I call him 'Drunky McDoushebag' is screaming like an old golfer seeing a minority on the course. The guy is insane, I really don't think I can be more clear than that

I think a doctor should check him for alzheimer's. he seems to have lost the filters that stop us from such rants.

The author of the article, Rob, hates Mel Gibson for whatever reason. AND....he's a poor journalist. The headline reads AUSTRALIANS don't want Mel..... as if all of the country rejects Mel. In actuality, he quotes one loser.... Rob is some sort of jealous loser....a less-than-average writer and ALL OF AOL have decided that we don't want him! (Actually, just me....but using Rob's journalistic ethics, I decided to infer that all of us are rejecting his writing).

I think its possible for Mel to make an 180* turn about. He will never be able to fully recover for everything, there's just too much damage to be able to try and repair all of it.

I think if I were him, I'd start by meeting with Rabbi's and other's he's offended. Try to make peace with those "offended."

I'd also go into a rehab of sorts, to deal with the inner demons.

Good Luck Mr. Gibson, you're going to need it.

Mel just finished a movie made in Brownsville, TX. He will make more. All you hateful folks just love your human sacrifice! Is Mel is the FIRST man in hollywood to fall for a bimbo? Is he the first to use four letter words!

So very sad. Think of your worst conversation ever and then imagine it was recorded and played for the world to hear. No doubt he's a mouthy jerk as this has been proven before with the police incident. I think it's possible he never hit the Russian (the picture of her with broken teeth shows no soft tissue trauma to indicate what a punch or slap would do, only looks like chipped teeth and not freshly chipped at that; there is a BIG difference) but was drunk enough to believe he did when she claimed this. She didn't break it off with him after this and was seen shortly after this with him at a social function. She knew what buttons to push and more than likely she did so and was wanting money. Remember that this whole thing came up over six months later. Most likely she's a gold digger who wasn't seeing the payout she wanted. He's a drunken jerk with a mouth problem but no proof he's physically abusive.

Has anyone bothered to ask Timothy Dalton what lengths this woman would go to to get money? I heard the latest tape and, even more than the other tapes, it sounds like she is in a sound studio filling in some prerecordings of Mel talking about anything other than what she is talking about. I would worry if I were her. Somehow I think everyone should settle down and see what those tapes are really about. No I am not a big Mel fan. But something is just not right about this whole business.

Its a good thing australia doesnt want him back,he isnt australian,he was born in the USA and moved there as a child and now he is back.Ive heard the tape and I try not to listen to stuff like that but they played a short section on the radio the other day.It sounded fabed to me but what do I know?Im not a huge Mel fan anyway and all I can do is wish the dude luck,sounds like he is going to need it...the only thing I heard on the tapes that got me was when he told her he didnt have any money....that one I didnt get.

Mel Gibson needs some serious psychological counselling. His rants & raves are the sign of a sick person. He certainly shouldn't be allowed to visit any of his children. Let Australia have him back the USA doesn't need him.
