'The Situation': 'Jersey Shore' Strike Is Under Control

Let the fist pumping begin! Mike "
The Situation" Sorrentino has signed a deal for the third season of MTV's 'Jersey Shore' and believes the entire cast is right behind him. Sorrentino and MTV reached a "great new arrangement," his manager, Michael Petolino tells
PopEater in an official statement.
The cast is
rumored to all be signing new contracts Tuesday after initially asking for $30,000 per episode. (The 'Jersey' gang made $5,000 per episode during season one and $10,000 per episode for season two.)
"Mike has been packed and ready to go for days for 'Jersey Shore 3' and is excited to move forward with the shooting," his manager says.
As
TMZ first reported, the 'Shore' cast refused to shoot scenes for the upcoming season until MTV gave them better contracts. SallyAnn Salsano, executive producer of the show, told TMZ they are "committed to the show" and "ready to go."
After hearing there was a rumored strike by the cast, Sorrentino decided to lead the pack with signing a new contract and is encouraging the rest of his cast to follow his lead and return for another drama-filled season.
"The Situation has always been respected and well liked by the entire cast. He felt that he could break the stalemate by putting these rumors of a cast strike to rest by moving forward and leading the cast to another hit season," Petolino adds.

Who cares about the show and the lousy cast? They don't deserve the money they get. Go out and get real jobs, and a life.

Pay them minimum wage and pray for a tsunami on the first show.
I get laid off as a dedicated elementary teacher and these no-talent jokers get a raise in their five-figure weekly salary...Yep, life is fair.
I too wish for a Tsunami in the first episode, but we have to face facts. No self-respecting Tsunami would EVER wash up on the Jersey shore. We could wish for a hurricane, because hurricanes have no standards....that's our best hope.
CANCELLLLLL THAT STUPID SHOW AND STOP BOTHERHING US WITH THIS CRAP. THEY SHOULD BE PAYING US TO WATCH.

I don't understand how talentless people get so rich? Crap, have somebody follow ME around with a camera, I'm sure my family could use some of that money more than they need it. Oh, and I'd love to paint Snooki's face, GLUE EYES!!!

Sadly, I am sure your family isn't nearly dysfunctional enough to make for good television. Jersey Shore, like most TV, is about the circus freaks, train wrecks and carnival geeks. The fact that the "cast" doesn't understand that people are watching only to see their stupidity just shows how dysfunctionaly they really are.
and another thing,, jwoww isnt even italian,, not one bit,,,, please cast new jersey people on this show,, not new yorkers pretending to be new jersey people,,,,,,, this show is a farce,, ive been to seaside heights many times,,, you see people there mostly from staten island,, and queens,, and brooklyn,,,, these people are not from new jersey
they do not deserve any of this money,,,,,,
cast me i am the original jersey girl and italian,,
and to be quite honest,, i dont find anyone of these cast members remotely attractive,, ,,,,,,,,,,, just saying*

I am right there with you on this one! I spent my life growing up in Seaside and in no way does the show portray the true Seaside, just the New Yorkers version of it. They all need to get off our Parkways and beaches and go to their own....Jones', Coney Island, etc.
ditch Snookie and then maybe I'll consider watching the show. The sight of that girl makes me want to hurl myself off a cliff!!

It amazes me to read all the negative posts and yet this show is a big hit. Jealous much??? I'm Italian and I love these kids. You gotta go with the flow and obviously SOMEBODY ELSE besides me likes the them.

Lol. Nope, just you.
You've gotta be right. Lot of negative NY talk though, what's that all about?? If it weren't for us NY people the Jersey Shore wouldn't be such a popular destination.
With all that money he should getthat damn nose fixed
