Lindsay Lohan Mug Shot Released

Dressed in an orange jumpsuit, Lindsay Lohan cracks a slight smirk in her new mug shot. She was booked around 10:11 a.m. at Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California to begin her 90-day jail sentence. According to her booking sheet, the 5'6" star weighs 118 lbs.

Lohan was sentenced July 6 to 90 days in jail and a 90-day inpatient rehabilitation program for violating probation on an old DUI case. The actress will likely serve approximately 23 days behind bars because, according to Los Angeles Sheriff's Department spokesperson Steve Whitmore, female inmates in custody for nonviolent crimes generally serve about 25 percent of their sentence.

Her booking documents list her release date as Aug. 9.

Lohan surrendered to officials at the Beverly Hills Courthouse on Tuesday to begin serving her jail sentence. Shortly after the hearing began, Judge Marsha Revel announced she was decreasing the 24-year-old's transition time between jail and her rehab stint from 48 to 24 hours.

Lohan was then relieved of her SCRAM device, handcuffed and taken by car to the Lynwood Correctional Facility.

"She's scared as anyone would be," Lohan's attorney Shawn Chapman Holley said Tuesday. "But she's resolute and she's doing it."

"She asks for your prayers and support" Holley said, adding Lohan "is accepting responsibility and [has] stepped up to the plate and is doing what has been asked of her."

This is totally ridiculous, if this was you or me, we would be serving the whole time. I am sick of these irresposible celebrities, who live by different rules. She was busted for DUI, possessing cocaine and NOT doing what the judge sentenced her to do. As I said had this been you or me we would be under the jail house. Lindsey unfortunately doesn't believe rules apply to her, but someone better tell her, death doesn't care what she does for a living.

Isin't it clear that the entertaiment world (TV, Film, or music) has a different set of laws that allow them to get away with things that the average person never could. Case in point, look at Wesely Snipes (federal charges all gone), and just recently Steven Segal (charges dismissed). Law?? that's only for us average people.

we wouldn't be spending more time in jail; its called prison 'over-crowding'. but celebs do get special treatment. life just isn't fair, is it?

With current crowded conditions that would amount to 10 days.

Lori you and me to would only do 25% of our sentence. But we wouldn't even have to do that much time. Since it was a non-violent, missdemeanor offense, we would either have the chance for house arrest or work release which would get us out of jail between 1-3 days.. Celebritys usually do get away with more but not this time......

Lindsay looks pretty good in this mugshot. A lot better than the last one and a lot better than my driver's license. She only weighs 118. Wonder if she'll lose or gain in the slammer. I read on TMZ what they feed you and actually it sounds pretty good.

She is a criminal who has snubbed the court and deserves her sentence. She is not "stepping up to the plate".

Since when is spending time in jail "doing what is asked"? She broke a law, she was caught, she used all possible legal means to avoid jail, she lost, and now she is serving a sentence. Not what I'd call doing what is ASKED of her.

I don't think 23 days in jail will help her, even after 90 days in rehab, I think she will get out and start partying again. Will she ever learn? She needs so much help, it might take years of therapy.
