Sarah Palin Boycotting Bristol and Levi's Wedding

Everyone in Alaska is hoping for an invitation to
Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston's August wedding to land on their doorstep, everyone that is except the state's most famous resident and mother of the bride, Sarah Palin, who will not be attending.
"It's going to be the wedding of the century in Alaska. Our version of Princess Diana and Prince Charles' wedding,' a Palin family friend told me with a straight face. "Everyone would kill to get an invite even if it means having to buy them an expensive gift. It's just too bad that her mother has refused to attend. Although I can't say I blame her after everything that boy has put her through."
It is true that Levi has not always acted like the perfect future son-in-law towards Sarah and her family. But Sarah's refusal to go to her daughter's special day has even Levi shocked.

"Bristol is very upset about her mother's decision and hopes her dad, Todd, will be able to change her mind," a friend of Levi's tells me. "It's not like Bristol or Levi are asking for help paying for the wedding, they just want their family to attend. It would cost them nothing."
Though it surely appears Sarah isn't going to attend, Bristol's father will come through.
"With or without Sarah, Todd will be walking his daughter down the aisle," the friend says. "He has been looking forward to this day ever since Bristol was a little girl and wouldn't miss it for anything or anyone. Bristol has told her mom she doesn't even want a wedding present just her mom to attend."
Which doesn't seem too much to ask for to me. What do you think?

Thank you for shedding some actual light on this. At first i thought she was interesting and had spunk. Now, I am just stumped by it all. How did she get elected in Alaska in the first place?
Sarah should be glad bristal is marrying her babys father. I saw Levi on the Tara show with his mother and sister and i can tell he really loves her i definetly think he was pressured by them to act the way he did not to mention the fact that he was dumped.Men tend to act dumb when they get dumped. Good for them.

Personally, any mother who willingly refuses to go to the wedding of her own daughter is not a mother. Regardless of what Levi has done, it is apparent that Bristol wants to have a relationship with him and be a family. Sarah is a control freak and is acting like a spoiled brat. When our children grow up, we have to let them make their own way. Sometimes they surprise us and sometimes mother knows best but the only way to know is to let them do it on their own. Sarah's decision to boycott will only affect this grandchild and any other child Bristol and Levi may have. It's sad. This lady wants to be president but can't even fix the issues in her own family? Whatever. If she gets mad at China or France what is she going to do then? She is NOT qualified to be president or anything that would give her any power. The woman is a bona fide idiot. The love I have for my daughter is greater than any hate I would have for future husband.

Okay, being a person of conviction, I guess she would stand her ground.
As a Conservative, I guess she would stand by her loyalty to the cause.
As a mother, and grandmother, she wants the best for her family.
It is difficult for a mother to let go and give up her children to another person, a mother does not trust.
HOWEVER, as a person who claims to be a Christian, she should forgive 7x70, and ask for Grace to be able to forgive. After praying on it, maybe she will be able to let go and let God take over.
Levi was a chump for the way he acted, and Bristol, I hope is not being fooled by him.
I really hope Levi has grown up.
However, God condemned the Levites, and well, if he is truley repentent for his actions, maybe he should change his name

You are SO full of it!
I happen to know, for a fact. that Mrs. Palin is attending and never even considered not attending.

I wish them luck and a happy life together, but this Alaskan is not looking for, nor do I want, an invitation to this wedding. It is certainly not the wedding of the century, nor is there any fairytale Charles and Diana quality to it. Surely there was something better to write about.

I admire Sarah for standing strong against Levi. He is a user and a liar and I wouldn't want any of my daughters (4 of them) to marry someone like that! I wish I had been that strong when some of my daughters married the men they did. By the way, they are divorced and now have children to support, mostly on their own! Bristol deserves more than someone like Levi and so does Tripp!
