Sarah Palin Boycotting Bristol and Levi's Wedding

Everyone in Alaska is hoping for an invitation to Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston's August wedding to land on their doorstep, everyone that is except the state's most famous resident and mother of the bride, Sarah Palin, who will not be attending.

"It's going to be the wedding of the century in Alaska. Our version of Princess Diana and Prince Charles' wedding,' a Palin family friend told me with a straight face. "Everyone would kill to get an invite even if it means having to buy them an expensive gift. It's just too bad that her mother has refused to attend. Although I can't say I blame her after everything that boy has put her through."

It is true that Levi has not always acted like the perfect future son-in-law towards Sarah and her family. But Sarah's refusal to go to her daughter's special day has even Levi shocked.

"Bristol is very upset about her mother's decision and hopes her dad, Todd, will be able to change her mind," a friend of Levi's tells me. "It's not like Bristol or Levi are asking for help paying for the wedding, they just want their family to attend. It would cost them nothing."

Though it surely appears Sarah isn't going to attend, Bristol's father will come through.

"With or without Sarah, Todd will be walking his daughter down the aisle," the friend says. "He has been looking forward to this day ever since Bristol was a little girl and wouldn't miss it for anything or anyone. Bristol has told her mom she doesn't even want a wedding present just her mom to attend."

Which doesn't seem too much to ask for to me. What do you think?

I guess Sarah starting to show her real colors.She got to be such a blowhard, traveling around the country like a teeny bopper cheerleader rah rah rah on subjects she knows nothing about only what she reads in the newspaper. Making plenty of money for her favorite charity,The Sarah Palin Fund. I sure hope people wise up to her antics.

I think Levi should wait at least 3 years and PROVE himself to the Palin family that he has changed. How does anyone know that if a little problem would arise that he would'nt bolt and go back to what he was....posing naked, playing around with the likes of Kathy Griffin, lying about Sarah Palin, etc., etc., etc. I can't believe Bristol is marrying him in such a short time after his many shenanigans. Things have been going pretty good for Sarah but now a monkey wrench has been thrown at her. I guess life always has it's miserable times. I feel sorry for Sarah. Now she has to look at Levi. He sure bugs the heck out of me!

The only idiot in this equation is Bristol. That young man is never going to be a life partner for her or a responsible parent for that child. He showed his true colors under pressure and it was not a pretty site. I wouldn ever vote for Sarah for any political office but as a mother...I think she is doing the right thin here...any other move on her part would be hypocritical and a bad example for her daughter. WAKE UP BRISTOL...HE IS A LOSER.

The entire article is based around information given by an unnamed Palin family friend. Do you think it's truly credible? I don't. Until Sarah discusses the subject in public, I don't believe anything that is written in this article. BTW - if she truly doesn't want to attend - they she should stay away. My mother-in-law wasn't happy about my wedding to her son but she came anyway and made a specticle of herself. Wish she hadn't attended.

If Palin was the Christian she claims to be then she should learn to forgive. Maybe Bristol will have a better wedding without her bitter mother there anyway. As a Conservative Republican and also a Born Again Christian I would not be able to bring myself to vote for Sarah. She could also be saying this even though she intends to be at the wedding just to keep her name in the news. I know if she doesn't know the meaning of forgiveness then I for one don't want her in the White House.

There isn't anything outside of health that would keep me from my childs wedding. Sarah needs to swallow her pride and remember the day is about her daughter.

It's obvious the young girl has a lot of growing up to do and a lot to learn about people.Something about that fella Levi that don't sit right with me.At times he has the look of a cat who just swallowed the Canary. He could be marrying this girl to really get under Sarah's skin. To hurt her as much as he can and then dump the daughter. Even though the election is over, maybe the other side is egging him on to continue to hurt Sarah.Before it's all over with, the daughter will have learned how cruel life can be when one has the misfortune to meet up with a fella like Levi.

Sarah and Todd Palin said in a statement on NBC's "Today" show Tuesday that they want what's best for their children and that Bristol believes in "redemption and forgiveness."

So much for the old lady living up to her daughter's virtues. I guess the Palin course in family values missed the part about picking your mates wisely. The good governor will change course and will attend because to not attend would hurt her politically.

You can't make this stuff up.

feeling sorry for you Palin-holics but heres a little something thats soon to be known everywhere:
after Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston broke up she started dating one of Levi’s best friends Ben Barber. Levi and Ben played hockey in highschool together and Barber was even gonna be one of Levi’s groomsmen in their wedding. Well in the short 4 months from around Christmas, that Ben and Bristol were together she managed to get knocked up by Ben. Bristol starts talking to Levi again and before you know it breaks up with Ben. Now she decides to announce that after only being back with Levi for only 6 weeks they are getting married. Ben now has gotten a great job up on the slope somehow and either Levi is as dumb as rocks or he has just been added to the Palin payroll to keep quite. If this magazine cover doesn’t show an attempt to cover a pregnant belly I don’t know what does. Seems like the Palins would try to sneak an abortion before trying to pull this kind of bs coverup.

I think Sarah Palin will regret not going to her daughters wedding... Levi is the father of her daughters child and they are doing the right thing by getting married and giving their child a last name. Shame on you Sarah if you don't go.
