Cameron Diaz Doesn't Want to Be With One Guy Forever
Cameron Diaz isn't ashamed of being called a serial dater. In fact, she tells
UK's Stylist Magazine that she's not looking to settle down in a long-term relationship.
"I think the big misconception in our society is that we're supposed to meet the one when we're 18, and we're supposed to get married to them and love them for the rest of our lives. Bulls**t," she said.
"Who would want to be with the same person for 80 years?" Diaz added. "Why not break it up a little bit."
"I think people get freaked out about getting married and spending 20 or 30 years sleeping with the same person," she adds.
Cameron has dated Justin Timberlake and Matt Dillon and was recently linked to Alex Rodriguez.
"Have someone for five years and another person for another five years. Life is long and lucky and yes, love might last forever, but you don't always live with the person you love forever. You can have that love the rest of your life but you might love someone else along the way, and there's nothing wrong with that."
On working with Tom Cruise in 'Knight and Day': "We always knew we had amazing chemistry ... We have a great rapport and I feel really safe with him."
What's it like working with ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake: "So funny. He's hilarious. I've laughed a lot making movies."
On being herself in Hollywood: "I think what happens in Hollywood is that people don't change much. I feel like people become more who they really are. That's what fame does -- it will only bring out in you what is truly within you. So when you see people acting like a**holes, they really are a**holes."

Diaz doesn't have to worry. No man wants to spend a lifetime with her either. Take the makeup off and then in 20 years she will look like Helen Thomas.

Your post was ok until you had to dis Helen Thomas, a wonderful woman. Hang your head in shame.
Glimmer, Helen Thomas is a dog, always has been a dog and always will be a dog. A liberal freaking dog.
hey glimmer, yes, helen thomas is a wonderful woman. just ask Mel Gibson, Charles Manson, or Hitler, I'm sure they will all vouch for her character.
that little bird brain of hers must fool her into thinking she is pretty or something????

Diaz was good in Knight and Day, but I just don't like her as a person -- she's too self-centered.

she's self-centered? that's what hollyweird is REALLY all about.
What a tacky thing to say. I'll tell you who would want to be with the same person forever, ME AND MY HUSBAND!
You should be so lucky.

Me, too. Cameron protests a bit too much. It's easy to say that you don't want to be married when no one has asked her. I seem to remember that she was devastated when Justin left her. She should have just understood as who wants to sleep with the same person for long?
*DORA, I'm right there with you!!! When I read that part I thought.... "I would! I have for almost 26 yrs"!!!
Just because it's not for her, that DOESN'T mean it's not for others!!! And to put down people like you and myself just because it's not, that's just cruel!!!
I happen to still be *in love with* my high school sweetheart and I don't see anything wrong with that!! Has life been rosy every step of the way? No but we didn't expect it to be.
Another part I don't get about her "statement"... If she truly feels this way, why then did she go ballistic when Justin moved on from her??? She WAS talking about marriage when they were together but it was Justin who didn't want that. I heard her say this on a talk show!! Hmmm, just a tad bit contradictory IMHO!!! Peace
I guess she's saying that because it's obvious she can't keep a man. She's desperate for attention.

This "report" is more like an advertisment.
Apparently she just wants to sleep with them for a while,
and . she has quite a collection going already.
She has already slept with all the names in this article, so obviously for her, it pays to advertise.
WANTED...
"TEMORARY BED PARTNERS"
call Cameron
I thought she looked old in Knight and Day. Tom looked great!!

I don't care for Cameron Diaz as an actress and always thought she was somewhat of a ditz. But I do have to say this is the smartest thing she has said. We are brainwashed into believing that we HAVE TO BE with someone - the same someone for the rest of our lives. It's not natural for some of us. I think a lot of people settle, because they don't want to be alone. Women have to make a lot of sacrifices to live with man for the rest of their lives. I don't want to give up a bunch of things for basically nothing. Lastly - look at the divorce rate. And if you factor all the ones who are remaining in unhappy marriages - what's the point???

Monica needs to stay out of her husbands friends beds & maybe the divorce rate want be so high!!
The point of it is: If you are having children it is much better to have two parents than just a Mom who is busy and possibly sleeping around per Cameron's advice. Cameron has no kids, so no problem I guess. Wait until she is 40, oh oh, the clock is ticking, gets artificially inseminated, has triplets, and then bores us with tales about how fabulous it is to be a Mom, as if she would be the first one.
I agree. It's not natural to be monogamous. It's MAN-MADE religious crap. Love is love. You can love many living things. Love is NOT exclusive.
Look at divorce rate...and is there an infidelity rate? The divorce rate should actually be higher! Lol.
So what if she doesnt marry a lot of people envy you cameron ....your movies I have never missed and I admire your piss and vinegar way. I dont care what people say as we all get older we dont look twenty anymore. Nothing wrong with being single and georgeous at any age. ...... power to the happy and single .......life is short girlfriend live it!!!!!!!!!

Give the girl a break. This is how she feels right now, at this moment in time. Think of all of the things you've changed your mind about over the years. Being single and never married in your 30's, 40's and up is more or less a confusing journey that can feel great at times and not so great at others. Cameron is obviously on a great part of her journey right now. I'm 41, never married and said pretty much the same stuff at her age.

I AM SHOCKED TO HEAR THE REMARKS OF SOME OF THESE PEOPLE. NOT EVERYBODY WANTS SOMEONE IN THERE FACE 24/7.
