Michael Lohan Charged With Harassment for Allegedly Attacking Fiancee Kate Major

Michael Lohan has been charged with second degree harassment for allegedly attacking fiancee Kate Major, TMZ reports. Lohan will be formally arraigned on August 18.

Major filed a report with the Southampton Town Police Department and told police in her official complaint that Lohan threatened to kill her.

"My fiance Michael Lohan came home while I was sleeping in a sofa chair. He woke me up, yelling, 'Why didn't you pick up your cell phone, you stupid c**t,'" she claims in the report.

The complaint continues, "He then turned over the chair while I was still in it, tossing me to the floor. I crawled to the other side of the room to get away from him. He walked over to me, took his shoe off and kicked me in my face while I was still on the ground. He stood over me and said, 'I'm going to go back to jail 'cause of you, 'cause I will kill you.'"

Major claims Lohan's abuse stems from his fear that she would leave him.

Lohan has been in Los Angeles this week to take part in the media blitz surrounding his now-incarcerated daughter, Lindsay. He told TMZ that there was a dispute between he and his fiancee, but Major "invented" the domestic violence story because she needs money. Major, who resigned from Star magazine after beginning a relationship with Jon Gosselin, quickly moved on to Lohan.

"She has no money, no job and she's been living off of me for the last 8 months ... and her dad just cut her off," Lohan said.

In an official statement released to TMZ, Lohan's lawyer Lisa Bloom claims, "Michael Lohan 100% denies each and every one of Kate Major's allegations. He has never threatened to harm her, never assaulted her, and never physically abused her in any way. Kate was heavily intoxicated during the verbal argument between Michael and Kate in the early afternoon on Monday. Michael Lohan has been clean and sober for six years. Michael Lohan is fully cooperating with the police investigation. No charges have been filed. He expects to be fully vindicated."

Lohan and Major announced back in April that they were engaged and planned to tie the knot by the end of the year at Oheka Castle on Long Island.

If Lohan fails to appear, the judge can issue a bench warrant for his arrest.

Wow she went from Gosselin to Lohan, what an 'attention hag', she needs to get a job and a reality check. Why hang onto those two sinking ships. As for Lohan, the daughter wants nothing to do with him,why is he always at her hearings? Both Mother and Father caused her to be a junkie,When she gets out they are the last people she should be hanging with.

So over the whole Lohan family who cares. People all over America are just trying to stay a float in this down economy. And this whole family who has money to burn is acting like lunatics. The guy may be a real loser, but at this stage these are only allegations which have not been subject to cross examination in a court of law. Since nothing has yet been testified to in court, I will, for the time being, presume that he is innocent.

They may proofread, but you must know correct grammar first!

It's a generational thing. The current generation of writers think that terms like "had seen" is proper grammar as well. And some people think that teachers are under paid. :o)

He wants his daughter to behave and he acts like this! The parents are so out of touch with the rest of us. Like someone said, why don't they use their money for a good cause, not for the lawyers that have a tough job defending them.
As for the girl friend, no one should be treated that way, and he needs to go to court. But she needs to also clean up her act and stop hanging with loosers and get a job that supports herself.

The media and the public wonder why Lindsay Lohan is the way she is.....take a good look at her parents and there is your answer. This girl does not have a chance with a user mother and a lunatic father..... They should both be locked up and Lindsay needs a firm parental hand with someone who cares. Her real parents obviously do not.
