Julia Roberts' Brother, Eric Roberts, Checks In to 'Celebrity Rehab'

Actor Eric Roberts, Julia Roberts' older brother, is joining the cast of VH1's Celebrity Rehab 4, RadarOnline.com reports. Roberts, 54, has moved into the Pasadena Recovery Center. No word on what Roberts is getting treated for though he was arrested in 1987 for cocaine possession and allegedly battled a cocaine problem into the '90s.

The actor was most recently seen onscreen in 'The Dark Knight' and was nominated for an Oscar in 1985 for his role in 'Runaway Train.' He also had a recent recurring role on 'Heroes.'

The 'Celebrity Rehab' cast also includes reality TV star, Jason Wahler, Tiger Woods' mistress, Rachel Uchitel and 'Party of Five' star Jeremy London.

"Eric Roberts is my roommate and is simply amazing. He's an incredible person." London told RadarOnline.com. He went on to say the cast is "unbelievably cool," and are all "getting along beautifully."

"Dr. Drew rocks and there is real healing here," London said.

Roberts is the father of Emma Roberts, an young actress who most notably played Nancy Drew on the big screen and also starred opposite her famous aunt in the 2010 romantic comedy, 'Valentine's Day.'

Is this the New thing for Celeb's in H-wood? Who Cares? Just a attention ploy, as I see it.

It's really a shame, as there are Real People out here, suffering, tht can't afford the Paradise house, etc. at 30 K a Mo.

Wow Eric Roberts must need work and money bad. First ive seen him on the young and restless and now he's on celebrity rehab. I have heard Dr drew was in a hurry to find celebs for his next show on Vh1 or there was going to be no show. So im sure he got paid well for just pretending he fell off the wagon.

Celebrity Rehab is for has-beens and wanna-bes...Eric Roberts is cheapening his credibility for appearing on the show. Donald Trump is right...Rachel Uchitel's decision to appear on CR is a bad career move! She could have been on Celebrity Apprentice which would have been a better choice.

Too bad he messed up his career. Runaway Train was an excellent suspenseful movie that showed his talent. King of the Gypsies was a badly handled mishmash but certainly showed his jaw-dropping beauty. Other than that - well, you can't say he didn't work, but I suppose the drugs don't buy themsselves. Good luck Eric!

Over twenty years ago I had my first speaking role in a film. As a young aspiring actor I was very excited. My scene was with Eric Roberts. When it came time to shot Roberts was so drunk that he couldn't stand up. The scene never made it into the film. Thanks Eric--I wish you luck now. Don't screw it up for anyone else.

Love love love Eric Roberts - have for years. Such a good actor who doesn't get enough good roles. I wish him the best in his recovery. I also love Dr Drew's Celeb. Rehah show and always watch it - now I will be glued. It's a really good show.
