Amanda Bynes Returns to Acting After Month-Long Retirement

Amanda Bynes wants her acting career back.

Just a month after tweeting she was done with Hollywood, she tweeted simply, "I've unretired."

Her next tweet shed no light on her decision. It only served to promote her next movie, 'Easy A.'

"easy A. September 17th. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DL7W6pEuAW0 check it out :)," she wrote.

Bynes used her Twitter account similarly to announce her retirement in June. "I know 24 is a young age to retire but you've heard it here first. I've #retired."

"I don't love acting anymore so I've stopped doing it," she continued at the time. A quick volley of tweets included further explanation: "Being an actress isn't as fun as it may seem" and "I've never written the movies & tv shows I've been apart of I've only acted like the characters the producers or directors wanted me to play."

The 24-year-old star became famous on Nickelodeon, eventually starring in films like 'She's the Man' and 'Hairspray' and posing as cover girl for magazines like Cosmopolitan and Maxim.

I'd say it's more a case of she's young, got fed up of all the cr*p involved in being a starlet, didn't want to buy into the cr*p they wanted her to do, so she tweeted she quit. Then everyone who knows her said, wait a minute, don't be so hasty. How many times have we all in our teens and 20's claimed something was all over, but really it was all just our emotions talking because we didn't know how to deal with something. I say leave the girl alone - sounds like she is trying to stay away from the seedier side of Hollyweird and that is always a good thing! She should do some TV, get herself a role in some gritty cop show and prove to people she has the acting chops, then she might get some say in some of her own movies.
