Amanda Bynes Returns to Acting After Month-Long Retirement

Amanda Bynes wants her acting career back.

Just a month after tweeting she was done with Hollywood, she tweeted simply, "I've unretired."

Her next tweet shed no light on her decision. It only served to promote her next movie, 'Easy A.'

"easy A. September 17th. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DL7W6pEuAW0 check it out :)," she wrote.

Bynes used her Twitter account similarly to announce her retirement in June. "I know 24 is a young age to retire but you've heard it here first. I've #retired."

"I don't love acting anymore so I've stopped doing it," she continued at the time. A quick volley of tweets included further explanation: "Being an actress isn't as fun as it may seem" and "I've never written the movies & tv shows I've been apart of I've only acted like the characters the producers or directors wanted me to play."

The 24-year-old star became famous on Nickelodeon, eventually starring in films like 'She's the Man' and 'Hairspray' and posing as cover girl for magazines like Cosmopolitan and Maxim.

I agree, I think it was a publicity stunt because nobody ever heard of her before she "retired". Granted, it's a bizarre way to get publicity, but not any more so than Speidi's "divorce". Hey, whatever works, hon.

Lighten up people!! Amanda is adorable. She is acting like a typical kid. Wants one thing today, something else tomorrow. I am glad she will be still be making movies. My kids love her. Hard to find a clean cut, none drug/nut cast out there.

What coincidental timing- unretirirng just in time to plug a movie. I always kinda liked her- sorry to see her stoop to such Hollywoodish attempt at publicity. My one word of advice for her- do a better job picking your rolls. She's not a bad actress, but she picks crappy parts.

Who ever! It's not like most of these individuals are known, anyway, which is the reason they cause some sort of "sensationalism" to get their names into the tabloids. Like I said, who ever! I have no idea who this chick is, and really don't care.

I think she announced she "retired" to get attention and then she announced that she "unretired" to get attention again. Let's be honest, she may be a nice girl but she is not news. Other than Hairspray, she has not been part of an important movie like Natalie Portman or Anne Hathaway have.
