Halle Berry, who
split from her boyfriend of five years, model Gabriel Aubry, earlier this year, was spotted with him and 2-year-old daughter Nahla in Los Angeles International Airport on Sunday. The estranged couple was flying to South Africa, where Berry will spend several months filming 'Dark Tide.'
"So that Aubry wouldn't be deprived of time with his daughter, they decided he would move half-way around the world with them," reports
RadarOnline.com, which has photos of the couple in the airport. "Aubry, a highly-successful model, will take over parenting duty when mom works."
Berry, 43, and Aubry, 34, recently had troubles sorting out custody arrangements.
It's been pretty difficult for Gabriel to see Nahla the last few weeks. He's really getting sick of it and it's getting to the point where he is seriously considering his options regarding pursuing permanent custody. The latest issue is that Halle is due to move to South Africa during July, August and September to work on a movie and she wants to take Nahla with her full time. That would mean Gabriel not seeing his daughter for three whole months and there's no way he's going to allow that.
Gabriel requested that he be allowed to keep Nahla with him in Los Angeles, but Halle wouldn't let that happen, so the two reached a total stalemate and it started getting nasty, with both of them looking into entering a legal battle.
In the end, they reached an agreement. Basically Halle is going to pay Gabriel to be a kind of full-time nanny and to come to South Africa for the three months she's there, and to be Nahla's full-time caregiver.
According to Radar's report, the two will live in the same rented house, but Berry plans to rent another for Aubry if that doesn't work out.

Wow, three months in South Africa, and getting paid to "Nanny" daughter. Great job for a Dad, but isn't this what all parents do, minus the wages.

They should get back together and stop wasting time. Life is too short - get over the b.s. and appreciate what they have. They are very fortunate in many ways - and the most important is their child.

Hell, I wouldn't get back with him. Any man you have to pay to take care of his own daughter is totally ridiculous. That's what parents do as parents, take care of them unconditionally. Now she has to pay him. Sounds like he needs to grow up!

I didn't know they split, so sad, but maybe it is best for all concerned. But I think It's a great idea for Gabriel to go with his lovely Halle and baby girl! I bet they're great parents! I send blessings, yes?

Kevin Federline also got paid to nanny his children. I think he is demanding rights and invading Halle's space. I don't understand demanding so much to take care of your own child, plus live in halle's house.
I hope them spending 3 months in the same house make them fall in love again! He's had his time to diddle other women, now time to man up and stick it out.

Its great that he is going along to spend time with his daughter, I just don't think he should be getting paid by her to do it. He's her father.

This is just one of the problems people face when deciding to have a child out of wedlock. You are not making decisions which are best for the family but best for yourself. If Halle Berry cared about her daughter not seeing her dad for three months she would not have taken that job.
