Poking fun at himself, Joshua Jackson met with Funny or Die as he held his own spoof convention, Pacey-Con 2010, outside Comic-Con in San Diego. Celebrating his 'Dawson's Creek' character, Jackson hit the streets to read Pacey fan fiction and meet Capeside devotees -- complete with a dramatic 'I Don't Want To Wait...' sequence. "People ask me all the time why I'm working on this show 'Fringe' and the honest answer is I'm only doing it to fund my first love, which is Pacey fan fiction," Jackson said.
"I do [Pacey-Con] because Pacey Witter is the greatest character in television history. Ever. Period." Watch the full video after the jump.

"Pacey Witter is the greatest character in television history"? Are you kidding me? What did he (the characer) offer the world? He had sex with his teacher and went back and forth with Dawson trying to date Joey. Big deal. The show, like the character is forgotten. Unless you were about 12 in the mid to late 90's (or just in love with Joshua Jackson), you probably have no clue who "Pacey Witter" even is. Yeah, I watched the show a few times, but "Pacey Witter" did not redefine a generation. If anything, that show should go down in history with "the most annoying charcaters in television history". They all were.

Um, you realize it's a joke, right? Of course Joshua Jackson doesn't really think Pacey is the greatest character in the history of television. He's just poking fun at both himself, the character he played, and Dawson's Creek as a whole. Lighten up a little!
