Obama on 'The View': 'I Don't Know Who Snooki Is'

President Barack Obama has no advice for the scandal-addled Mel Gibson and admits to knowing about Lindsay Lohan's jail sentence. (Though he's not sure WHY he knows that.) And thanks to the ladies of 'The View' and their hard hittin' questions, we now know Obama is unaware who Snooki is.

Barbara Walters, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and the rest of the 'View' crew welcomed Obama for what was the first appearance on a daytime talk show by a sitting president. Watch a clip after the jump.

"Should Snooki run as mayor of Wasilla?" asked Behar -- in a reference to Sarah Palin's hometown -- during the rapid-fire round. After chuckling, Obama responded: "I got to admit, I don't know who Snooki is."

(It must have slipped Obama's mind that Snooki, she of 'Jersey Shore' infamy, joined up with his 2008 opponent Sen. John McCain to oppose his tax on tanning beds.)

He was also asked if he knew Lohan was in jail. Indeed he did, however he couldn't quite remember why he would know that. Obama also may not have RadarOnline.com in his bookmarks, as he didn't seem to be too aware of the rage-tastic phone scandal that has sunk Gibson's career.

"Does Mel Gibson need anger management?" Behar asked.

"I haven't seen a Mel Gibson movie in a while," Obama dodged.

The president was booked on the ABC talker in order to reach as many women as possible. He had his own reasons though: "Look, I was trying to find a show that Michelle actually watched -- and so I thought, this is it, right here. All those news shows she's like 'Eh, let me get the clicker.'"

Should the president of the United States really be chatting up his "friends" at the View? I would imagine that most Americans feel that his time could be served better elsewhere being productive. Why does he feel this is a good idea?

Oh please! This is the most absurd behavior I've ever seen a sitting president do! Do not use our tax dollars to gallivant on talk shows. You've got more important things to do with our tax dollars Obama. Start acting like a President...not a politician.

Our "President" (I use the word losely) seems to think he's on permanent vacation, but then again, isn't that was "celebrities" do? He is such a loser and if his lips are moving....he's telling yet another lie! The man is pathetic! Oh yes, and he's NOT black...he's bi-racial and is also as white as VP Biden. I could go on about that bit, but if he's not taking responsibity for any of HIS actions/policies, etc. I guess we can take his "whiteness" out of the equation! OOPS....my bad!

Why is Obama going on "The View" when there are so many problems he should be dealing with. He is so narcissitic and he loves to hear himself talk. I've never seen such glad handing as that demonstrated on The View today.

Those women have been known to chew up guests and spit them out, yet they sat there going ga-ga over having a president on their show instead.

Where were all those tough questions, ladies?

OK people...the ONLY way to get rid of this jerk is to vote him out in 2012. We should also make sure that ALL illegals should have some sort of ID card with their citizen status (in code) on the card. You can bet that since ACORN scammed the 2008 election that illegals will undoubtedly get out and try to vote. ID EVERYONE so the illegals can't say they are being targeted.

What about something like the stopping of the leak in the Gulf of Mexico? That i s effecting millions fo people everywhere, especially Mississippi. Florida and Louisanna. Shame on the people watching for even tuning in, but then The Price is Right has gone so far down hil since Drew became the host, maybe Handy Mandy would be the show to watch.
